When is day 21?

Sorry if this seems a silly question but I'm so confused.

Bit of background Ttc for over 3 years, due to start clomid soon but need to have the usual day 21 etc blood tests done first. Here's my problem. After last MP I had to take the contraceptive pill for 5 days (seperate issue, needed to thin lining of womb for surgery) I then had slight withdrawal bleeding for 4-5 days after but very light, not like a period at all. Seeing as I only took the pill for 5 days would day 21 be 21 days after first day of withdrawal bleed or first day of period before I took the pill?

Sorry that's so complicated. I know it would be easier to wait til next month and have the blood tests done but I'm going to be out of the country for 3 months and need them done this month!!

It does sound complicated, and tbh I'd seek medical advice as it's important you do manage to pinpoint the correct day.
My practice nurse did my tests was very infirmed so try book an appointment tomorrow to clarify. As you don't want to have to wait another 3 months.

Thanks sizethree, yeah I have an appointment for tomorrow I will explain the whole story to the gp but was just hoping to be able to pinpoint day 2 and 21 as I have a strong feeling he'll just say to leave it this month. Which means leaving it until I get back and my hospital appointment to begin the clomid is a few days after I get back so that'll have to be postponed if I don't have the blood tests done Confused

If I had the blood tests done tomorrow (is day 21 going by proper LMP) would they be able to tell that it isn't day 21 by the results or just think it is day 21 but that I'm not ovulating (which is what's actually happening anyway). It's been 5 years since I've had all these tests for my last baby and I can't believe how much I've forgotten.

I think it's supposed to be 7 days before 1st day of AF. I also did this test last week and found it troublesome to estimate as I have irregular cycles. Your case does sound like that was a withdrawl bleed, but definetly take advice on it. It'd be a pain to have to repeat them!

Did you have your appointment today? Did the nurse clarify it?
Hope it was helpful and you'll be able to start the Clomid.
