Does EWCM always mean you're fertile

I'm on month 2 of ttc and I've been tracking my cm.

I have a short cycle at 25 days so am fertile a few days after finishing my period. Clear blue opk gave me a static smilie on day 11 so I stopped testing after that. However, I have noticed (day 16 now) that I still have egg white cm. we're dtd every 2-3 days so I'm not worried about missing any fertile time but I kind of want to work out what's going on.

I don't think it s an early sign of pregnancy as I had the same last month too.

The dreaded Google only gives me information on pcos but I'm pretty sure I don't have that, I don't have any other symptoms.

I'm not overly worried but just curious I guess.

Bumping this, sorry I can't help, I sometimes get a late surge with ewcm, could it be that?

Not sure, I'm well passed the positive ovulation test.

A positive opk does not alwsys mean that you ovulated, it just means that you are gearing up for ovulation and sometimes for whatever reason ovulation is delayed which can explain multiple days of egg white cm. If you ovulate on day 12 or 13 and have a 25 day cyle that would give you a 12 or 13 day luteal phase. The only thing that is fixed every month is your luteal phase ,it will only vary by a day or so and is particular to you. Ovulation can on the other hand vary every month. For example if you have a lutesl phase of 12 days and the first month you ovulate on day 12 then your cycle will be 24 days, the next month if you ovulate on day 20 your cycle would be 32 days, the only thing being constant is the 12 days. Some women get egg white mucus just before af appears , i am not sure why. . Hth.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure I have ovulated, all the other symptoms were there about a day after my positive.

I guess it's just one of those things

I agree with home. Sorry if this is tmi but it's easy to confuse the fluid hanging around after sex with ewcm, could it be that?

Sorry for the double post but just to add the best way to confirm ovulation would be to also take your waking temperature every day.

This month I had ewcm on days 11, 12 and 14. I had positive opk on cd13,14 and still no temp spike. I mean I had a temp rise yesterday but not today.

Weird. Mine is now watery after ewcm yesterday morning that turned watery through the day so I think fertile window is done, just took longer than I thought.

Tmi but I don't think it's left overs, that tends to be watery and have a distinct 'smell' iykwim.

Last month I had ewcm right up to a few days before af. I convinced myself I was pregnant

Raluca that could just be a fall back rise.

Homeaway what does a fall back rise mean?
My cp is still high and soft but can't say if open. Cm is watery/sticky

Home that is really interesting about the luteal phase. My cycles are varying between 35 and 30 and not sure at the moment which day I ovulate but the pieces of the puzzle are slowly coming together.

A fall back rise means that your temperature dips below cover line just after ovulation and then goes up again above coverline . Hth
