Hi Flourishing, I'm already 40 and ov on Wednesday 20th, close enough for you? I'm not great at waiting, my attention span is about 2h max. Good luck to us both.

Hi Rene1, tell me about it, I hate being so out of control, this two week thing is bad.

Do we carry on with our gym sessions? Do we drink? Do we carry on as normal until BFP?

Why is it so easy to get pregnant when one is young and poor.

I've been trying for a few month, lost count. Been temping since late January, it is all very tedious. I do tend to carry on as usual, including sports, booze, coffee etc. Would have gone gaga otherwise already. Got a 7yo to keep me entertained and to tell me I am fortunate to even have the one. Have you got children?

Yes, I have two, youngest is 9. Quite Lucky really, but post divorcee DP does not have any.

What a coincidence, I started in jan too. After Mirena. I am not temping but using opk.clear blue and Internet cheapies. I prefer the Internet ones. Have you been for a fertility mot to make sure eggs etc are still plenty?

Hi both, I'm 38. Been trying since December so one month before you two. Only difference is I've never had any yet (kids that is) - eek. Happy to join you in the wait.

Welcome Dare, are you temping Opk? If so when are you testing?

What contraception where you in? Don't worry. Having DC or not does not seem to matter to the witch called AF.

Hi Dare, how are you? It can be so disheartening to try and try.. and then it seems like everyone is pregnant. Are you temping? I only realized ovulation date changes a lot from month to month (cd9 to cd 14) so we might have missed the window at times before I started temping.

Hi both. I'm not temping but have been using OPKS the last two months - decided I needed to take action!

I start checking them around day 11. I seem to ovulate around day 15, judging by last the two months of OPKS. I'm actually only on day 11 today, so going to find out soon when I ovulate this month. (If I am indeed ovulating. Hope so, but I haven't had my Day 21 test yet, so not sure!)

Hi OP, I got a positive OPK yesterday (Friday) so am very close to you in timing. How long is your cycle? I don't temp either, just don't get on with it. I'm 41.

I actually realized through temping that I ovulate 2 days after pos opk (static smiley on cb opk) so on opk alone I used to stop dtd too early. Hello fridge, I think I know you from the 40+ thread.

I am feeling quite pessimistic this month. It's just the umpteenth month of doing the same, so I am expecting the same result.

Hi all! Thought I'd pop in here. 4 or 5 dpo depending on things. I'm on progesterone pills this month for my rubbish luteal phase (has been between 5-7 days only since af returned after DC) so I'm really hoping that, if not a positive pregnancy this time around, at least my lp will get to 10 or 11 days this month. I'm thinking of testing on the 31st although ff is telling me to do so on the 8th only Hmm.

Morning all. Reni don't feel disheartened. I know what you mean about doing the same thing and I expecting the same result though. I was very good for the first 5 months but now at 6 months decidedly less gung-ho. Was taking inositol, agnus castus (I've got quite a short luteal phase too auto) - but now just managing the bare minimum i.e. folic acid!

autonomousplum · 24/05/2015 19:03

And perhaps just frolicking that acid is what your body wanted? Sometimes just returning to base and "resetting" is the key. Will xf for you!

4dpo today. Bored already. Has it been 2 weeks yet? Checked three times on ff, still 4dpo.

DareGreatly · 24/05/2015 23:29

Reni it'll be 5 dpo soon!

Hahah reni I also obsessively check ff to see if miraculously it will now tell me I am 12 dpo. Flowers

Are you testing soon, auto? How is everyone else, patient and NOT symptom spotting?

Ff moved my of day back on today's temp so now reckons I am only 3dpo. I had of pain and ewcm floods (sorry tmi), I disagree. I think I am 5 dpo. Stupidly took temp too late on day before of so messed it up myself.

DareGreatly · 25/05/2015 10:38

Reni good you're getting ewcm. At this age I'm not sure mine is quite so abundant anymore Hmm

Never noticed it before TTC this one, dare. Or maybe didn't know what it was. Oh the dignity of TTC.

Report
DareGreatly · 25/05/2015 12:02

Yes, I remember noticing it when younger but no clue it had any biological significance whatsoever. Oh, how youth is wasted on the young! Grin

Hi Fridged and all new arrivals, youth is indeed wasted on the young, I used to find the EWCM annoying, I always took a flannel to bed,so I could wipe off the excess.

Now it's so scarce I could pass DP swimmers as EWCM. Hence my opk preference. Useful info Reni, I thought the critical time was to BD the 48 hours after the LH surge/Solid Smiley. I hope we did not stop too early. Opk Friday Am, Bd Friday, Saturday, Sunday mornings only.

I did go to the gym on Friday, I promised myself not to change anything in the two week wait. Now I am stressing that I lost the Friday swimmers.

Morning!
6dpo and a big temp drop. It was a really crappy night's sleep though thanks to I'll DC so I'm blaming that rather than the more obvious explanation which is that af is, in her usual short as shit fashion, on her way after another 5day lp. Sad Regardless of the progesterone.
and my temp three hours later was a whole degree higher anyway

Flourishing - yep, I distinctly remember getting so much ewcm once I thought to myself, what the heck was that?! Now it's like I need a magnifying glass, ho hum!

Auto did your GP prescribe the progesterone pills? I'm due to have my Day 21 test (except I've bed told to do Day 20 as my periods are ahort), but I'm suspecting a short LP too.
