Missed 2 periods, really worried

Hi, I have now missed 2 periods, taken many HPTs over this time, all negative. Went to GP last week and am waiting for a blood test to check hormone levels etc. I'm terrified that there is something really wrong with me! Can anyone help please?

Hi Sylvie
Try not to worry or stress as that can delay periods even more.
Once you get your blood results you will know more. Until then try not to worry. Silly answer to you I know Hmm

Have you been on any contraception? If so when did you stop?

Hi Glittery,

No, never been on any contraception, just used condoms when not ttc...
OH says I have been very stressed recently, I am quite a stressy person I think. I am making it worse by thinking that it must be the worst possible senario! But I suppose there must be many many other explanations before that mustn't there? I think I'm driving myself a bit mad to be honest!

Exactly. Stressing is making it worse.

Sylvie35, I've been very late twice now, negative tests, waiting for blood results and like you, worrying something is wrong. I don't have any advice but I hope it all comes back normal for you and your cycle gets back on track soon!

You too! I'm trying to be rational about it but it's difficult!

It's impossible! At least we're not the only one! The first gp I saw wasn't worried at all and said stress and sent me on my way, so hopefully she's right for us both!
