Just wondering if any of the egg buddies are still around? Would love to hear from you.

Hi Tame, Hi Twinkle Smile
I'm still lurking too.... My Ivf journey has ended but I forever dream of a natural miracle (yeah right?!).

How are you both? X

Tame, where are you having the immune testing done? Hopefully it will be a positive move for you xx

I'm having it done with Dr.gorgy down London.

I hope we get some answers. The not knowing is doing my box in.

Are you not trying anymore stars?

I posted a bit on earlier threads. Now mum to one DD, who is very much boss of the house.

starsandmoonandback · 27/04/2015 12:08

Tame, I've heard good things about Dr Gorgy. Hope you find something useful out and you get your baby very soon Hun.

Yeah, we've had to stop any more Ivf. We just can't afford it and it's such a hard thing to keep going through over and over. Im so lucky to have my DS and have to focus on him. I'd still love to give him a sibling and myself another child, but money has made our decision!!
Hope all goes well in London. Keep me posted Smile

I'm still around too. I've had quite a few names though.
Hoping to go back for more donor treatment this summer in Spain, if I can face it.
Failed donor treatment really knocked me too, I felt really guilty. As though I'd let the owners of the embryo down, like maybe it would've worked if it had gone to someone else. The donors were both really young and the embryo was meant to be very good so I can only conclude it's my uterus that's the problem.

starsandmoonandback · 27/04/2015 22:07

Hi wideeye - what was your name before in here? Do you remember me? I'd never thought of a failed donor cycle making you feel that way. I can totally see how you might. Remember though that even young healthy people still only have a 25% chance of falling pregnant naturally, so sometime it just doesn't happen. This whole bloody Ivf stuff is tinged with guilt, worthlessness and just lots of bad feelings. So unfair. I hope your coming trip to Spain is a good one this time. Smile

Hey all!

That thread was wonderful, full of happy moments and desperately sad ones too.

I am doing well. My son is 8.5 months old and I'm thankful every day.

So lovely to hear for you both.

I often wonder about juicy - is anyone in touch with her? She had so many nicknames I wouldn't know which one to PM her on!

Hi Tame, Twinks, Tallulah, Stars and Wide Grin so lovely to see you all.

I think about all you egg buddies lots. The thread was fab back in the day, it kept me sort of sane!

I'm 32 weeks after a successful 3rd fresh cycle. I still feel incredibly lucky, I must admit I thought it was never going to happen as I was getting close to the end of the road treatment wise.

I'm in touch with a few egg buddies via Facebook Juicy included. I'm not sure if she still posts on here as never see her on mn. I'm also in touch with Maybe and Keep if anyone remembers them? I knew them before the egg buddies thread.

Tame good luck with the immune testing. I really hope you get some answers either way. I was unexplained which drove me crazy (still does!)

Wide so sorry to hear about your donor go. It's crazy how this journey makes us feel. Fingers crossed for your next go.

Congratulations to those who have made it!

I was thinking of this thread esp Tame and Respisa just last week!
I'm with juicy on FB, she is fine and I still feel shame about giving her the wrong clinics number.

AFM - after two IVF miscarriages I took a year out (2014). Had another fresh cycle this year and miscarriaged yet again. I am off to St Mary's on Tues for RMC clinic (of course I am preparing myself for the Duchess fanfare while I creep to the failure bit) and have 6 blasts on ice.
Oh, I also sent a ahem menstrual sample to Serum in Greece for infection testing.

It's good to hear the good news and I'm sending hugs to those of us in the same shitty situation.

Fish so great to hear from you! I've often wondered how you are getting on. I'm so sorry to hear about your 3rd miscarriage, it really is a shitty unfair journey. Good luck at the RMC. Don't start me on the royal baby, so bloody annoying. I find it totally overwhelming all the baby talk with no thought for those who have had losses/struggled.

Res is still about on mn so hopefully she will see this. I'm sure she won't mind me saying she's 26 weeks pregnant with an absolute little miracle. I'll let her tell you the rest Smile

Any sign of Brooker?

Congratulations cupcake and sorry fish Hmm It's a hard journey isn't it?

I saw Res was pregnant which prompted me to start this thread.

Hope some of the oldies come and find us Grin

Can someone please tell juicy to PM me? Would love to hear if she had a boy / girl and what she called him/her if anyone knows?

Yes, I'd love to know what juicy had.

We also went to the Czech Republic for treatment last year with donor eggs. That also ended in a very early miscarriage. We have 2 frosties there though so I'm hoping we can use them after the immune tests.

Report
Lifeasafish · 30/04/2015 06:49

Oh that is wonderful for Res! She had a tough time of it.

I'm very pleased for those who have made it - it gives me hope, although like Tame it seems bar IVF (ha!) the getting pregnant bit is doable, it's just the holding onto them.

I hope Juicy doesn't mind me mentioning that she had a baby girl. Smile

Tame my plan is the same, more RMC testing then a FET, not that I think St Mary's will find anything but hey ho.

Lifeasafish · 30/04/2015 06:51

Edit - selfishly it gives me hope, I am happy for you all for yourselves not just to provide me with hope.

Lovely to see you lot back on here and good to hear of so many (unexpected) wins. I stalked yout thread endlessly in the day and occasionally popped in. Had many IUI cycles and eventually got my win on a FET, who's now a happy 10 month old boy (at child care and I am clearly working hard).

I've just seen this thread!!! Hello everyone! You lot were a lifeline for me. I'm so pleased to see you all here, I think about you often.

I'm so sorry some are still struggling, but my goodness me, you ladies are made of tough stuff!

As for me, I have a 13 month old DD. I still can't get my head around it Smile
