To drink or not to drink?

DH and I are TTC, cycle 3. We're on a delayed honeymoon at the moment and AF was due today. My cycles are bizarre, often only 23 days. So not sure if I'm late or if I'm just getting into a more regular cycle. I'd love to take advantage of the lovely booze on offer but am apprehensive just in case. However, at the same time think I'm jinxing the chances of a BFP by acting as though I'm preg before knowing for sure! So ladies... Advice please... To drink or not to drink? What would you do?

I'd drink.

AFAIK Blood/alcohol doesn't pass through to baby until it's a few weeks old.

Plenty of people will have drunk in early pregnancy without even ever knowing :-)

Relax and enjoy

Thanks! I'll stop worrying so much and keep you updated when I know more. Fingers crossed for a BFP when we're back in the UK and no AF before then

I'd drink. I got rip-roaringly drunk several times in the '2 week wait' (because I wasn't really waiting or actively trying to get preg). DD is now 2 and bright as a button, so I don't think it did her much harm

I'd drink, might as well enjoy yourself if you are pg then it will be the last time you will be able to drink for a while and if your not you'll kick yourself for not enjoying yourself to the max.

Definitely drink. You can't act pregnant every month just on the off-chance. Most people I know (myself included) drank before they knew they were pregnant, and it hasn't done any harm. As long as you stop (or limit) as soon as you get a bfp, that would be fine. Best of luck.

So glad I posted! Along with honeymoon, it's my birthday on Sunday so looking forward to a lovely evening out. Still no AF yet and finding it very hard not to start getting excited.
