It's my first time TTC so obviously I have driven myself crazy with calendars and opks - also since we practice fertility awareness/natural family planning for contraception I have been charting since Adam!

My cycles (mapped for over three years) average at exactly 28. Yes, there has been a month last year at 30 and two at 27, but the average stays at 28. I always get Ewcm and 99% times ovulate on CD14. It comes as a sharp twaaaang on one side and last few hours.

Can you wise ones tell me if BD on this schedule is okay to give us a chance (am CD11 today)

CD9 afternoon (done)
CD11 night (today)
CD13 morning
CD14 evening (most likely day of ovulating)
CD 15 night

I know we are skipping Cd12 but Dh will need a break.

Sorry if this sounds ridiculous but I don't want to share all this precise dates and times with my dh who is broody himself but gets stressed easily and then bless him it won't work of course!

Thanks so very much and looking forward to hearing your opinions.

This is your first month trying? I'd be tempted to relax, have sex every couple of days and enjoy yourselves.
As someone who took ages to concieve, I am a bit worried that this level of micromanaging could become really stressful if it doesn't happen straight away. It sounds like you have a good understanding of your body's rhythm already - good luck Grin

Thanks mrscakes! Unfortunately our jobs and schedules necessitate a bit of scheduling to bring together our bodies where both are rested and ready. Hence the planning really.

I think that sounds about right, but I do echo mrscakes

I hope it happens really quickly for you especially given the fact you have been practising natural family planning as conception, but sometimes even the perfect timings and conditions don't always result in bingo!

Good luck for you this month. Hope you only have one 2ww!

I have 2 dcs. I ttc'd for 7 and 4 months respectively. I followed a similar schedule to yours, however on the months I actually conceived I was super relaxed and only dtd once (second time was with help of the CBFM).

I would agree with Mrs a bit re relaxing- having said that I'm ttc #3 at the moment and have just ordered the clearblue ovulation sticks to give me an idea of when I'm actually ovulating.

Best of luck.
