Coming off Micronor

Hi, I wondered if anyone has experience of being on Micronor and what your experiences with ttc afterwards? I was on it c.2 years, with heavy, long, very painful periods throughout. The review nurses weren't too bothered about this and just said it means I will get back to a normal cycle quicker.
Just wondered if this has been true for anyone, of course it's an individual thing, but would be good to be prepared for a longer wait for things to settle down if that's more likely to happen.

Hey, I know this is an old thread but just wondering how you got on? We are ttc #1 and I've just come off Micronor after two and a half years on it...

Haha, this was me on my original username before the hacking thingy. I remember those bastard periods well.

The good news is, I had one month with a negative test then got pregnant second month and DS is now 14 months old and making a proper tip of my living room. So it didn't take long at all! Funnily enough I came back on to the conception board to see how to get no.2 going while still bfing.

Good luck with it. My period was back to a 28 day cycle by the February, then tested positive 28 days later in March. I used ovulation testing strips but obviously it was dtd every couple of days that got us there. Hope it works out for you.

Oooo thanks for reviving thread! About to come off micronor here. I had similar experience with v heavy periods (heavier than my natural periods). Hoping my normal cycle won't take long to appear!

I fell pregnant with DS (17 mo) within 3 weeks of coming off Micronor after 5 years on it.
Am back on it now and pharmacist said this week apparently is being discontinued?

That is interesting if it's being discontinued...although I remember having to go to a couple of different chemists for it at the beginning, doesn't seem to be that common.

Anyway congratulations to both of you, lovely to hear that you were successful so soon and it's cheered me up! The not knowing is the worst...I'd settle for AF and all her lovely side effects atm, just having absolutely nothing happen is unnerving...

Sorry to jump on a thread a couple of months old, but just wondering how you're all getting on? I'm currently TTC #2 and have been off micronor 2 months after being on it 2.5 years. My cycle is normally around 30 days, last month it was only 26 and I got my darkest opk line on day 19 (although not convinced it was quite pos!) giving me a short LP😣 I'm currently on CD21 of cycle 2 and not even a faint line on an opk, I know it's not a long time, but wanting to hear I'm not alone I think x

edit
Not sure if my first bleed was a withdrawal bleed, hence giving the impresssion of only a 26 day cycle!
