I'm looking for happy ending stories to cheer me up over the holidays.

Has anyone eventually had a baby at 42 or 43 after a struggle? I've been TTC for 2.5 years now, 2mmc's and 1 failed IVF... Is there hope for me to ever have a baby or should I listen to nature, accept and move on?

Oh love, I've been there and it's shit. Took me years to get there (but in the end I did Smile). I can't tell you whether you should move on - that has to be your choice - but let me give you a happy ending. I started TTC at 36, had a mc and then finally gave birth my dd1 at the age of 41. I adopted dd2 when I was 46.

Hope you get a similarly happy ending. Best of luck.

Had DD when I was 42. Started trying at 36. Didn't go down the IFV route and to be honest I had given up. People keep telling me I should have another. Really, I'm too old now, as she's almost 4.

My mother tried for 13 years to conceive, and had given up. Many years after me (when we assumed I'd be an only child), a sibling turned up. By then, mum was in her 40's.

It seems that it is possible, but not something to 'bank on'.

I do hope you are as fortunate as Devora

Thank you MrsCosmo and Devora, your stories cheered me up immediately and give me strength to carry on. It's so hard this struggle but there is still a little bit of hope left.Smile
