As the title says, how many days are your cycles and approx what day do you ovulate?

I've only been watching my cycle for 2 months and charting my temperature for a couple of weeks but I'm getting a it worried :/ my last cycle was 29 days long. I used ovulation tests on several days after around day 12 and started getting lines (not positive as they were paler than the control line) and I may have read the test wrong but I think it came up positive on day 19 (but again it might have been me imagining that the line was darker). I'm now on day 18 and have been getting faint lines for a few days and my temp has been almost exactly the same for the past few weeks. I felt boiling hot last night so was sure if have a positive result this morning :( I don't think I've missed my ovulation but I'm panicking that we're going to be spending a fortune to 'fix' hubby, then it'll turn out I'm now not ovulating :/

Hi Spam - recognise you from the other thread Smile
I'm temping for the first time this month and the ff app confirmed ovulation after a temp rise of .1 degree over 3 days. This happens at day 13 for me, and usually my cycles are 29 days.
I would suggest using the clear blue dual hormone detector one month along with temping. It gives you a flashy smiley face when high fertility and a solid one at your peak. My temp went up 3 days after the peak result confirming I ovulated the day after the solid smiley. Xx

Try not to worry, you'll get used to how your body works as time goes on :)
Keep using the ovulation tests and temping. Remember that not ovulating one or two months a year is normal, so if you don't this month it doesn't mean you don't normally.

I usually have a 30day cycle and ovulate on day 14/15. I'm currently on cycle day 38 and getting negative pregnancy tests. No sign of AF or pregnancy, so I think I didn't ovulate this month. First time this has ever happened to me :(

Good luck with TTC :)

Thanks ladies. I'm sure I'm probably overthinking things but as we know it's likeky to be tough this time, if possible at all, I want to give us the best chance :/ I was using the My Days app but just started the FF app to see how that goes. It feels a bit more 'scientific' than the other one. I do wonder if my test strips are just pants as the last few tests I've done have been stupidly faint, test and control line.... Or as is more likely, I'm just being stupid!
With the temps, mine don't have any kind of pattern or regularity so I'd never see such a slight rise as .1 :( the last week alone has been 35.98, 35.96, 35.52, 35.81, 36, 35.78, 35.48.... I'm doing it at the same time every morning as soon as I wake up, been doing it under the tongue every time but still getting that variation. The FF app suggests using a different orifice ;) if temps are irregular :/

I think you'll see it go up to 36 point something after you ovulate. Yes, I've read about taking temps elsewhere... Can't say I'm very keen! Lol. Xx

I was just about to start my own thread on similar lines!

I came off the pill (microgynon/rigevidon) in August as DH and I are going to start TTC after Christmas. I wanted to give my body chance to get back to normal and give me time to actually pay attention to cycles etc. Been pretty regular at 28/29 days since then but I seem to be getting EWCM on day 21. Based on what I've read, this seems very late and now has me a bit concerned. Any thoughts?

PS was using FF but have switched to ovuview as I like the pretty colours

Hi all.
I'll be following this thread out of interest...
I'm on day 70 (!!!) and I think I may finally be ovulating. Ewcm and positive opk. Keeping an eye on temp too.

Maybe my body will finally settle down and get into a cycle.

My cycles are normally 30-32 days and ovulate on cd 19, temps are a bit all over the place but I can just about notice a rise after ovulation

I was 33-38, with ovulation 14 days prior, approx.

I had 5 children, despite the irregularity, some planned, some not.

Last 4 cycles have been 45 days, 38, 34 and 33! Have not been on hormonal contraception for 7 years (was perfectly regular 28 days on it though), stopped breastfeeding in Feb this year, af started again 2 months later. Have always had horrendously irregular cycles, except when on the pill, but seem to have stabilised a bit since having DD.

Expect to ov CD18-21 but use opks as I can't be sure!

last night I think I got a positive opk this morning and that's day 19 of my cycle so I'm a late one too. But look at it this way, we don't get the 2ww as such ;) I should have 10 days now until my next period... SHOULD being the word ha ha!

Hi Spam - it's possible you'll only have10 days to wait- but most people will have af 14 days ish after ov.. So you might find your cycle is a little bit longer than usual. X

I think I'm always that late...? Not sure if this will cause issues when TTC :(

I've only been watching my cycle for like 2 months and they've been 29 days so if this one is the same (fingers crossed), it should hopefully only be 10 days to my next cycle (in theory at least!)
lastnight it shouldn't cause you problems. My cycles used to be much longer but I have 2 beautiful dd's and fell with them with not too much difficultly. As far as I'm aware, when you ovulate shouldn't affect your ability to conceive etc :)

Hmmm... so just when I thought I'd settled into a regular pattern, currently CD33 and no AF. Sigh. One thing I miss about the pill is not playing this waiting game!

I came off the pill in April because I wanted to start tracking my cycle. I started using the app "my days" a few months ago. My cycles up until October were about 30-35 days (possibly pill getting out of my system). For the last few months they have been 28 days and when I track back two weeks that's when I've had the EWCM!
