POST OVULATION TEMPERATURE NOT QUITE HAPPENING - ANYONE?

Morning all. I am pretty certain I ovulated a few days ago but today I did not get a third consecutive day of temperature rise. On my ovulation day I got a temperature drop and positive opk (and the day after), I had watery cm as I have done for the past week nearly. That day my temperature dropped greatly to 36.27, my subsequent temps have been 36.48, 36.52 and today back down to 36.48.

As a result, the fertility friend app has not confirmed ovulation for me today even though my cm has now changed to creamy (TMI, sorry). Has anyone else had this type of temperature pattern? The only thing I can think of is that today I woke up after a good night of uninterrupted sleep and I have missed a lot of that this week.?

Hi Arty

I'm on my first month of temping and got a peak fertility result on Thursday and Friday but am yet to see a temp rise.

Please keep updating here as will I - we can compare results! X

Glad I am not the only one. I'm pretty sure I ovulated and don't get this.

Someone on another thread said if you sleep with your mouth open it can prevent the temp rise????
I think videoing myself while I sleep to see if my mouths open is a step to far (Wink) so will assume I don't for now.

Apparently timing is everything though, and I could be a little better at taking it at the exact same time I guess.

Haha! I don't sleep with my mouth open either. I got a good raise in temp today to 36.61 but fertility friend has not put the cross lines yet. Hopefully all clear soon. What about you?

Well I'm not sure it's enough to count; Thursday (peak) was 36.31 and today is 36.43?
I've had a blood test which showed I was ovulating so I'm hopeful that I did... But maybe a little later so the temp rise hasn't happened yet! X

You can have a fall back rise where it increases, drops back and then rises again. See what happens tomorrow and look for a general trend.

Hi ProbablyMe, does this fallback rise happen after ovulation you mean? Thank you

FF just confirmed ov as Friday after I put this mornings temperature in (phew)! It was a minimal rise (.1 of a degree) so it obviously doesn't have to be much. Xx

Hi sammylou, mine is still not confirmed as this morning I am 36.60 and yesterday I was 36.61. It has shifted up since ovulation but keeps going up and down. I just want to know I ovulated!

Oh Arty, I'm really sorry I can't help, this is my first month... Aye it hasn't happened yet, could be a late cycle? Xx

Someone on another thread said that it's the overall pattern that matters, and it doesn't matter if the odd one or two dip - hopefully ff will give you an ov date soon. X

Hi, sorry to jump on your thread but can anyone help me at all? I have just started temping this month, only 5 days in and I have a sudden drop this morning. It was -5 degrees last night where I live but literally have no idea if this will have an impact on this. Does this look familiar to anyone? I have also had a lot of watery CM today and I'm usually very dry all of the time (sorry tmi)

I should mention that I have also started taking a course of soy isoflavones to encourage ovulation this month so this may have an effect.

Thank you

Can't believe. Apparently some women see a drop in temperature before ovulation and the a rise after... So combined with the cm maybe you're about to ov? Dtd dtd dtd!!

It's my first month temping so I'm no expert, but had some advice from some ladies on another thread. Are you using fertility friend? The apps really good. X

Thanks Sammylou, I think I will observe the overall pattern then as it is going up just not up,up,up!

Cantbelieve - Im not sure about your temp drop although one day I woke up sweating and very hot from the heating in my house and I did have a higher temperature.

Thank you sammy Oh my gosh, I'm only on cd5 so that would be incredible... My cycles are usually 90 days plus! Maybe I'll poas just in case. I'm trying to use ff but not very good at it!

I'm going to have to look at the effects of room temp and bbt arty thanks also x

I'm sure room temp does have some effect. Just to check, you are testing at the same time every day? Day 5 seems a bit too early for ov, but it's def possible esp as your doing something different!

FF is good as you can record opks, temp, cm etc and it analyses it all to give your result Smile

Yeah Dr Google says there is an effect! Yep very morning as soon as I wake up at 6am. I'm quite regular on the weekends because of my body clock too.

I've just figured it out, I had all the settings wrong! It is quite handy isn't it. God, here we go, something else to obsess over haha x

My temps still not very high after ovulation. Still hovering at 5dpo - I hvae been 36.6, 36.61 for four days and now 36.68. I am going to take a Day21 progesterone test to see if I am low in hormones. Rather get my period than have a miscarriage.

Hi Arty - mine are similar and I'm wondering what makes you think that is too low? Before ov I had some reading under 36 so the high end of 36 is quite high I thought? X

It is not that the temperatures are too low in general. Its just the pattern compared to my temperatures before ovulation. They are just hovering above the coverline now for five days. Normally, my temperature rises a lot for several days after ovulation. My ovulation is confirmed but the temperatures barely risen.
