How long does it take to conceive after removal of mirena coil? I am impatient

I am trying for number 3. I have always fell really quickly with first 2 dc but number 3 seems to be taking a while, could it be the coil still in my system or does it go back to normal straight away? I had it removed in June, pretty irregular periods since it came out. Any thoughts?

Not much help I am afraid - I am in a similar boat. Conceived DCs 1 and 2 very quickly but had mirena removed at the beginning of August. Had a period at the beginning of September but nothing since then. Hope you get a BFP soon!

Have you done a pregnancy test if you haven't had a period since beginning of September?

I had my mirena removed on Thursday but not sure what my cycles are going to be like now I'm off it. They were pretty horrendous for the 4 months I had it in. I had a 10 week long period!

I conceived the month after having my coil removed - so had one cycle then conceived the next.

My periods have been all over since having it out, I have no idea how to tell when I am ovulating anyway and especially no idea when I am so irregular :/ I am not used to all this, fell within the 1st month of trying with both dc. Maybe I am just getting a bit old

DC's 1&2 conceived very quickly, I then had mirena coil fitted when DC2 was 4 months old. I had it taken out 2 years later, my periods returned almost immediately, regular 28 day cycle, and I conceived DC3 on the 3rd cycle - and I was 35!

Had Mirena out on June 29th, BFP Sept 2nd. Aged 43 at the time. We didn't wait for cycle to settle down as we were old gimmers.
Everyone is different.
We were very careful until I could have my next Mirena in. DS is nearly 4.5 so I must ask my GP when it runs out

Hallamoo sorry if tmi but did you have brown discharge between cycles when you had it took out? I had it in for 3 years and,my cycles seem to be all over , anything from 26 days to 36 days with brown spotting between.

im so inpatient too - had my coil out 4th october and had a small bleed afterwards then a period when I was due! Should be ovulating this week so hopefully it will be quick! Im 31 and my son is 17 - big age gap and hoping everything is still working down there after 17 years worth of pill/implant/coil!

Hi OP
I know it used to be3 years but yhry extended that.
Also I'm a knackered 48 yo with an 8 and a 4 yo so I'm practically celibate. I think I was told 5 years this time.

Mummytogoldie - it was nearly 8 years ago, but I think my periods were back to normal pretty much straightaway, but then I've always been very regular. No brown spotting that I can remember.

Good luck, hope you get your BFP soon!

Mrsfazruns - did you have your son when you were 14, or is one of your ages a typo?

How do you know when you are ovulating? Does that make me sound really thick lol x I have never needed to know these things before so have never noticed any difference in discharge etc. I hope I get a positive result soon to, I am starting to panic a bit as I am with a different partner to who I had my 2 dd' s with, so starting g to worry there's going to be a problem, plus I am older now :(

I'm 28. Mirena out 4 weeks ago. More or less constantly bleeding since then - that is not my normal cycle.
