The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Hi ladies, just marking my place, I've been mainly lurking these last few weeks as the thread moves so fast! Still here though, still ttc and now waiting for my appointment at the fertility clinic at the end of November Sad.

I heard being in the first ten posts gives you a bfp.

Hi ladies, may I join you? I've been waiting for a new thread to start so I can keep up!
I was on this thread originally when the above rules were made Grin
I had 2 mc before managing to hold on to my beautiful dd who was born last November. We've now just started ttc number 2, and I've just hit the 2ww. I'm terrified again, not looking forward to any of it, despite the fact that I know it can work!!

Anyway, will not start off all doom and gloom, lovely to be back here Smile

And just to warn you... Fishes at the ready as I'm a known rule breaker. Grin

Thanks for the new thread Treacle. Fx you'll have a BFP to celebrate tomorrow morning which will make the issue at work pale in significance. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Welcome IBelieve - Congrats on your DD. Here's hoping your journey ttc #2 goes far more smoothly.

Thanks for the link to the Mindfulness course TheSmallBear. As Trying said - it's far better for you to take a day's holiday if being there is going to be too difficult.

Mademoiselle - your pinecone/ Preseed story made me LOL. I'm something of a Preseed addict. I insert it using the syringe thing (typically in the bathroom) beforehand, use it as a lube, and then once we're done, following the obligatory 20 or so minutes with my legs in the air, squirt some into a softcup before inserting it.

Purple - I think that's what I'll do - if AF arrives this week I'll skip another cycle. If not, and the WTF cycle turns out to be much longer than normal, we'll get back to TTC next cycle instead.

Marking my place on the new thread. Still in limbo cd39 and hit the 10 day late mark now. In honour of the thread rules I will poas on Friday. Need to prepare myself for a bfn, as days go by without testing and no AF I have managed to convince myself that I must be pregnant.

If it's a bfn I need to face up and accept the fact that four months post mc by body is well and truly fucked up Sad

Love the thread title!
Mr gaggia told me today he doesn't want to start trying again this cycle because he's too traumatised by the mc. I totally see his point so we will start as soon as my wtf cycle is over.

Let's hope so ignominious Grin

gaggia, how do you feel about that? it's excellent that your dh has opened up and said he's struggling to come to terms with the mc - many men don't feel able to speak so openly about their feelings on mc and baby stuff ime xx

Marking my place too.

gaggia my dh wanted to take time off after the first MC, so we did that. I think it can be very difficult for the boys as they don't necessarily have the channels of support and the OK to get all emotional and sobby like we do. I don't think it's a bad thing to wait for wtf cycle to finish before getting on it again (so to speak).

Good luck treacle fc for you.

Sounds like a plan foxtrot

Omg Foxtrot you are ten days late and haven't tested!!! Your willpower is amazing! FX for you xx

Well I have had some cracking temp rises since OV so we can safely say I ovulated! My opks and bbt chart is at odds on which day but we had sex every day over the window so we are covered whichever Grin

Am having my first acupuncture session today so I'm looking forward to just laying down for a bit Wink

Anyone testing on Friday?

Hi just wondering if I can join in? Although I'm not great at keeping up with these types of threads so you might not see me much!

I'm TTC no 2, have DS who is 2.10. I originally wanted a two year age gap, but I had an ovarian cyst removed when he was 9mo, which then developed a wound sinus tract (I.e. I was leaking fluid from a small hole in my abdomen, proper embarrassing bodies stuff) which wasn't sorted out until he was 1.5, and then with recovery period we couldnt start trying until he was 1.9, which was September last year. Had no luck until July this year when I fell pregnant but that turned out to be a small ectopic which they left to self resolve, which finally happened mid September. Had a weird two week cycle and then another period.

I'm currently on CD11, doing CB OPKs and have taken soy this cycle and am temping! Throwing everything at it until the new year when my GP has agreed to run the basic tests. I have quite long cycles, generally 35-42 days which is frustrating.

Anyway, good luck to everyone! Really hoping the ectopic has reset me somehow and this cycle will be a reasonable length! Nothing worse than peeing on OPKs and temping for a month before you even have a chance to start trying that cycle.

Morning ladies! Thanks for new thread treacle - love the title, very apt.

Welcome ibelieve I hope the journey ttc no.2 is easier. It's nice hearing stories like yours - I've had two and get to a dark place sometimes thinking it will never happen. You are proof it can and will!

I went out with baby bomb client last night. She's about 24 weeks like I would have been She didn't stop talking about it all night and then got her bloody 20w scan pictures out. I pretended to look at them and then went to the loo.

Thanks monten. That's tough about your client. I feel fine about the ectopic, I knew very early on it wasn't going to work out, but I do have a tinge of sadness when I see my work colleague, who is lovely, but who had the same due date as me. She's 18 weeks and just showing. She rushed excitedly up to me to confide about the pregnancy when she was just 7 weeks and I was in the middle of everything. I think that's the only time I cried about the whole thing, she was so excited and happy.
