I am excited and absolutely terrified at the same time! My injection has just run out but I feel it will take a while for me to get pregnant cos I've not had a period since March 2012. I'm trying not to think negative so please everybody give me positive thoughts!

Positive thoughts...positive thoughts!! We're currently ttc#2 and have only had 2 periods since stopping bf DS (8 months). Didn't have any probs conceiving DS but am paranoid about it this time around. Not sure why.

Also, i've felt so poo today. I've had cramps all day and it feels like my period is coming but surely it wouldn't come back this soon. My depo runs out this week. If it comes back this fast I'll be totally shocked. Mind you, I have had smaller cramps on and off since I stopped breastfeeding ds which was about 4 months ago.

Thanks for the positive thoughts Nicky :)

Hello!

OP I also had my last AF in March 2012! Smile I guess our DCs are the same age!

We have been TTC -ish since January but so far nada and still no AF! I am still bf DD which is why I guess but it doesn't make it less frustrating!

Hope you are feeling better! Perhaps your body starting to gear up again!

Nicky - I keep feeling like it won't ever happen this time too even tho it was quick before too!

Fingers crossed that it happens soon for all of us!!!

How old is your 1st baby louisee123?
There are lots of reasons why I want my babies quite close together so I'm really very worried about it-far more so than DS. I don't know about coming off contraception but my first 2 periods were very painful and I haven't felt one coming yet so fingers crossed.

Was just about to post something similar so I thought I'd hop on here.

I have a 2.5 year old and am fretting about starting TTC #2. DH is ready, and DD is sleeping well and potty trained. I am freaking out - my career is going places, I hated pregnancy (and had some complications). But I am broody again and possibly want three children in the end so don't want to be in the baby days forever.

DD only took four months to conceive but I am well aware it could take MUCH longer this time. I just need to get going don't I?

How are you all finding the decision making?

Hey all, can I join too? Can empathise, Ninja, DS is 3 already, I love my job, things are settled down nicely......but we think we want another one. Most days! Anyway, we're going for it this month to see what happens. PCOS an added complication but things feel good this month and DS was conceived straight away so..... So many conflicting thoughts and emotions! Good luck all.

Thankgoodness, BF could well be the issue - I am not sure of the science but a friend of mine conceived her DC1 first time but took 18 months with DC2, and even though she'd been down to one feed a day I think it was enough to unsettle things. But that's just one example so I hope it's much faster for you!

Daisy, good luck! It's so worrying thinking about rocking the boat isn't it? Things are finally settled and as DD didn't sleep through the night for two years it was a long time coming!

Snap on the sleep front, Ninja!! Confused

My ds is 3 in january, i don't want a much bigger gap, ds is very independant and at nursery 3 days a week so its a good time, doesnt make it anymore nerve wrecking though!

Evening all, hope it's ok if I jump on board too! DH & I have a 15 month old DD and are planning on TTC this month after my AF next week. We've always wanted a close age gap and agreed that two years would be our minimum as I fell first month with my DD I didn't want to risk it happening too soon although appreciate it may take longer TTC number 2. I'm a little worried it may be too soon now I've read some posts, agree potty trained would be easier although my DD has always been a good sleeper so hopefully she stays that way ??
My career feels like it has stalled since having my first DC so I think it's almost best to get the second one out the way, if we're lucky enough to have second DH and I have always agreed we wouldn't want anymore than two! xx

I've been going through the pros and cons of having another baby. Main one being that I don't want ds to be an only child. He's 21 months now and although I'm really nervous about having another one i'm just going to take the plunge! If i don't do it now I won't ever do it! I feel like I shouldn't have taken the depo injection though cos I've been panicking myself that's it's going to take months to get my period back.

Hello! Please can I join? I've just stopped taking the oil. Have one dd, born November 2012. Don't really feel ready for a # 2 but I know I definitely one another and I don't think I'll ever feel ready. So we're just going to go for it. Eek. Scared.

So glad to hear that others are dithering just as much as me! I took DD to play group today and it is full of heavily pregnant women with younger children than me. Is 3 to 4 years really such a long gap to aim for?

We are planning on starting trying in Dec. but I'm also thinking maybe we should just get cracking. My friend keeps reminding me that summer babies have nearly a year less childcare to pay for!

Exact same boat as quite a few here! DD is 22 months , was a bit apprehensive about trying for a second .... But then thought heyho might as well get it out the way ??

Now completely obsessed with trying to get pregnant and it's only first cycle ! DTD last couple of days, got a smiley face on ovulation test today so will have to try do it against tonight ! Then it will be the long TWW to see if we have hit jackpot!

Part of me feels guilty for my DD.... She currently goes absolutely nuts if I hold a baby ??

I'm in my second month ttc no2. DS is 22months. I keep wavering between excited and terrified, especially when I think about how much easier life is getting as DS gets older. Not sure how we will manage with the lack of sleep again. Didn't do well the first time!
