Hi All

I am on cycle 2 of ttc #2. DC no1 is nearly 14 mo. I am still bf although ds has massively lost interest and I have been toying with the idea of stopping for a few weeks although haven't quite been able to let go yet! I have had periods back since he was 7.5mo and they are very regular, but I figured taking oil of evening primrose couldn't do any harm to balance my hormones up and maybe give me a better chance.

I promised myself I wouldn't obsess so early but I was so disappointed when af came last month that I feel I need to take a few little steps to make me feel like I am doing something.

Does anyone know whether it is safe to take when ttc? Or do I need to be careful. I bought high dose 1000mg today and it says the usual ask your doctor if pregnant or ttc, but seems a silly thing to make an appt for. Thanks

I believe it is ok to take up to ovulation but not after. It's not deemed safe for pregnancy as it may cause uterine cramps in some people. It is supposed to increase the amount of fertile CM you have so if you feel like you might need some help in that department it can't hurt - hasn't done anything for me but I keep trying it Grin

Thanks for replying! Hmm, im not tracking ovulation in any way at the moment as I'm trying to avoid becoming too obsessed too early because I know what i'm like...can see me getting sucked in sooner rather than later though especially as it sounds like I need to know this if I want to take the supplement Confused
