Hi im in my 20s 5 years ago i had my daughter my partner and i decided that we would wait until she reached nursery/ school age to have another child. My partner and i decided to start trying for another baby around 3 years ago and have been trying since, my periods havent always been that regular between 32-36 days. However its been 49 days since my last period, i was very excited at the possibility that this was it. i have had to put on a pad as i noticed blood on the tissue but not on the pad. Over the last 2 days ive kept changing pad with nothing on it, today however the blood on the tissue is more than a slight bit of blood so im guessing that it is my period trying to come :-(. It is upsetting as would desperatly love to have another baby ive watched a family member fall pregnant twice and have two lovely children and is now pregnant again, i would love to have another if there is any advice people could give me i would apprechiate it its been 3 years now weve been trying x

If you’ve been trying for a baby for one to two years without success, see your GP for advice.

Sunshine

You need a diagnosis first and foremost to determine what the actual problems preventing conception are. It is likely that you are not ovulating regularly if at all currently.

Please seek medical advice asap from your GP and get a referral, do not leave this to chance any longer.

Hello thanks for answering i used the ovulation test strips but didnt really get a concrete answer, havent tried temperature i will look that up. I thought and looked up spotting and i thought that was what i was experiencing but i think it was wishful thinking i will see how the next day goes with regard to the blood but pretty sure its my period, ive also tried a pregnancy test yesterday and it said negetive so i think it probably is right x
