Strange periods... Ttc... Opinions

Hi guys!
So I've been trying to conceive for a couple of months, last month my period was a week late then when it finally came it was watery and a lot different to it usually is. I did a test just to be sure and it came up positive but the line was still faint. A couple of days later I did another one and this time It came up negative so I went to the doctors who told me it was a chemical pregnancy (very early miscarriage). When my mum found out she told me that with my brother and my sister her tests went from positive to negative but she found out the next month she was Infact still pregnant. I didn't think anything of it as didn't want to get my hopes up only to be left down when I came on the following month. However my period is now 2 days late and apart from last month I'm usually like clockwork! I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this before? Or what you guys think is going on? I live in a village and currently have no car till Monday so can't get a test till then!

Get cheapy tests on Ebay or Amazon, I don't think I could wait that long.

No real advice here other than test again when you can and see what it says. Fingers crossed you're like your mum!

My mum said with me the pg test wouldnt pick up on her being pg (she was getting bigger) in the end they just had to assume she was pg. (not sure if this was blood test too)
But i was worried the same would happen to me after going through ivf. The pg test was v faint but was positive so i didnt have whatever strange thing my mum had.
Could you have just become pg again this month?

I managed to get my friend to bring me a test this morning and it was positive!! I worked it out and the last time we did it was 6 days before I ovulated (he had to go away with work) and I know that sperm can live in your womb for 7 days so not sure if it's the same baby from last month or just got lucky and conceived before he went? Very excited either way!
