using an internet cheapie strip test. After 5 mins or so (instructions say up to 10 mins to confirm a neg result). DH can see the line too.

Will test again tomorrow with first wees and day after my period is due.

But please cross your fingers for me? Is a line a line? Please be a teeny baby, and a sticky one at that....

The only reason they say to use the morning wee is the levels of the hormone are higher in it. If you test at other times you are more likely to get a false negative NOT a false positive.

A faint line is a line, the test has picked up the pregnancy hormone in your body. Oh and the internet cheapies are the same the doc would use (not using FMU unless you happen to have 1st appointment and haven't weed yet!) you are just paying for packaging and branding with the more expensive ones, not a more reliable result. Except the early response ones, they are more sensitive, could be worth doing one of those if you have money to spare, can't wait till tomorrow and are prepared you could get a false negative (or a nice clear line, which is what I got after a fsint line with the standard one).

Or, in other words, a line is a line, and you are pregnant, congratulations! Flowers Grin

Thank you mother!!

My internet cheapies are v sensitive (10 m, whatever the abbreviation is!) so I will test again tomorrow as surely they're as good as a FRER?

Haven't tested again today for fear of a BFN

am really hoping I get a darker line tomorrow (and the next day!)

How I managed to hold out to test until after AF was due with DS I don't know Confused

I know it was naughty to test early....!

zara I tested 2 days before AF was due in the evening and got my BFP! Fingers crossed for you! I did a digi on the day my period was actually due and it came up with 2-3 weeks. that was an afternoon wee too!

Early shmerly Wink

I tested early. Got a line so faint DP couldn't even see it. My faint line is now nearly 10 months old and sleeping next to me :)

Yes Moggie I remember you from the distant mists of time GrinGrin

I might be mad as DS is only 15 months

Looking forward to going to bed so I can test again tomorrow GrinGrin

A darker line doesn't actually mean anything in real terms because even in the same batch, different tests have marginally different sensitivities, your urine is more and less diluted at different times etc. Please don't start thinking that the line has to get darker and darker because what you might do is keep testing in that 'oh it's still early, I'll just check, af is now officially late' and so on way and have a faint line one day and you'll think shit, is it fainter than yesterday, wtf is wrong. And a line is simply a line. No more. No less. Particularly at this early stage, worrying about how faint a line is is unproductive and stressful.

I tested positive 6 days before my period was due with both dc. Using internet cheapies. They're just as reliable as the first response early tests. 10miu is as sensitive as it gets.

You are, my dear, pregnant. Well done.

Thanks showy

Am thinking of biting the bullet and doing the Clearblue Digi tomorrow straight after using same urine sample if I get a line on a cheapie

Had a look at my period app and counted back and my ovulation days were Sat and Sunday 2 weeks ago.

Hello,

Congratulations!

I got a bfp this morning too. Very faint on FRER. This is after 2 years of TTC dc2 and our first IUI. I can scarcely believe it. I'm 16dpiui so am a bit worried about the faintness of the line. I'm on progesterone pessaries so concerned that they might be artificially sustaining things!

CONGRATULATIONS worried!! That's wonderful news! Will your clinic do a blood test to help put your mind at ease?

Today, you are pregnant. Just focus on that. Remember that if you get a BFP, statisically everything is going to be fine. Thanks
