So, after reaching cycle 10 of trying I decided to use opk's. I got my first smiley face with clear blue today!! Yay!! DH and I dtd this morning, so wondering if that's enough?? Should we dtd again tomorrow?? Not sure having never used opk's. Any advice welcomed x

Yes, dtd every day for the next few days if possible. The opk has seen a surge in the LH hormone so ovulation should happen within the next 48 hrs, but not everyone is text book.

Hi bobo!
I got a positive opk this morning was so excited! We had sex early hours of friday morning and again tonight, but done a opk test around 7pm after dinner and it was negative.... Although i did have a glass of wine when we where out for dinner so unsure if my urine was maybe dilated... If not then i hope i have done enough and caught it!

I got my first smiley face this evening too (also my first time using opks). We last dtd on Friday evening so going to keep trying as much as poss over the next few days.

What cycle day are you on? Cd12 for me, af (or hopefully bfp!) due 19th.

I'm feeling a bit sensitive around my lower abdomen today, so hoping this is me ovulating and my positive opk was correct. DH is working tonight until midnight.....will have to get him to wake me up so we can dtd again!! :-)

We didn't dtd last night as dh wasn't feeling well Worried I may have missed it now as I just did another opk and didn't get a smiley face. Don't know if that's because I tested at a different time though (Did 5pm Sat and got O, 5pm Sun and got smiley, 11.30am today O again). I thought the surge usually lasted two days? Either way that was my last test so no way of knowing now!

Hi Maeanne, I was wondering the same thing about OPK. I tested on Sunday at 7pm, got a smiley, then again last night at 7pm and no smiley. I'd tested late on Saturday as I was out and got a negative then. Not sure if LH would have just been a bit diluted then as I'd been out and it hadn't been 4 hours since I'd last wee'd. Dtd on Sunday and again last night, so hoping I'll have caught ov!! x

We dtd last night and will hopefully try again tonight. SO hoping we will be lucky this month!

I'm very crampy today - quite tight, pinchy pains. Not sure whether that means I haven't yet ovulated? Guess that's possible if my surge was Sunday night. Up to 48 hours after that isn't it?

That's what I've been reading, so you could be ovulating today. I felt really sick yesterday and tummy has been cramping more yesterday, but still a bit today. Take it that is me ov'ing!
Hopefully this is both our months!! Fingers crossed for bfp's in the middle of the month
Have you been TTC for a while??

2nd cycle of proper trying, but we also tried on and off last year and haven't been prevening for a long time. We have a 5yo dd and I have been desperately broody for about 3 years (the time has never been quite right for various reasons) so I don't want to waste any more time!

What about you?

This is cycle 10 for us ttc #1. It has been such a stress. Being from a big family I assumed it would just happen for us. Decided to move away from the lets just have sex and see how we get on this month. Getting my first smiley was great, so really hoping to get bfp!!

The 2ww is going to be agonising this month.

12 days left for me!! 2dpo today, dont think i've done enough though, so gonna be a dreaded wait and i just have a bad feeling!!
Positive opk was on sunday morning dtd that night but nothing since. But dtd early hours of the friday morning so hopefully that might have caught it too, if not another painful month for me!!

Good luck to you, babytink! Are you sure you ov'd on Sunday? Apparently it's usually 12-48hrs after your lh surge, which is what is detected by the opk. I also got a positive opk on Sunday but fairly sure I'm ovulating today. I'd keep trying if I were you! I am!

Its the only test that both lines where same colour.... we dtd on sunday but nothing since, we'll dtd tonight hopefully! But i just have a weird feeling. Had slight cramping on and off from yesterday.... And ran out of opks so no way of checking :(
No dischargy stuff either :-S so i'm kind of at a dead end just now!
done a opk yesterday my last one and there wasnt even a second line it was that faint..... So must have been sunday?

Not necessarily, because ovulation generally occurs 12-48 hours AFTER you get a positive test. The test detects the hormone that is present just before ov. If you were crampy yesterday chances are you ov'd yesterday. Fingers crossed that you will have caught it anyway!

Just to say you can get cramps for a few days after ovulation also. i think it depends on the person and there is no fast rules.

Thanks girls i only dtd on sunday when i got the positive opk so i hope that was enough. Mr is working away as well so not had him here :(

Hopefully your Sunday dtd will do the trick babytinks! Now we're all in the 2ww together. Nice to have people on here going through the same thing as I'm trying my best not to talk to friends and family about ttc. I feel it'll add extra pressure that I sooooooo don't need!

Haha, me too Bobo! I do have one friend I can talk to about it (only cos she has recently gone through it too and is now pg!) but i still don't want to bore her too much!

Keeping everything crossed that you caught it babytink. We only dtd twice during my most fertile period in the end. Really really hope we have done enough but I don't feel too hopeful really.

By the way, once you have a smiley you don't test again, according to the instructions. :-)

I've been pregnant twice (still am, in fact) and both times I've DTD the day before and the day after the smiley, so you don't have to go mad!

I know it's nice having someone on the same tracks and days as you to relate to symptoms and things and get us through it really :)
So how many days past ov are we all then? 3dpo for me today. No symptoms yet :( had slight cramps below but nothing major over the last couple days and on saturday actually, i really just wanna feel some kind of symptom lol! today or tomorrow should be the implantation isnt it? If positive opk on sunday?
