Following up from the 23rd Jan thread, thought I'd make us a fresh new thread full of positivity!

TTC #1 cycle 2 (officially) BFP due Feb15th smile

Treaclepie19 Tue 21-Jan-14 19:37:53

I'm just frustrated :p Trying to tell myself it is definitely AF but then google gives me hope haha. Going to distract myself by starting my OPK tomorrow.

Haha aww, its nice when DH's are excited though smile

Bangonthedoor Wed 22-Jan-14 07:52:52

noimagination its killing me already and its only just begun! I dont think we timed our DTD mission great this cycle so i dont think our chances are awfully high anyway but only time will tell!

When do you think you'll poas??

noimagination80 Wed 22-Jan-14 18:39:20

Amazing how quickly it becomes an obsession right!!!

I think if I can hold out I will poas on the 3rd.... wink. What about you?

Treaclepie19 Wed 22-Jan-14 21:45:28

Well decided to just move on from this odd AF and focus on impending DTD marathon :P

Hope everyone is ok smile

Bangonthedoor Wed 22-Jan-14 21:51:04

Well I'm thinking...the 6th?! I'm going to try and be strong! Just hate the disappointment! I think I'd rather be disappointed with AF than a BFN...

Bangonthedoor Fri 24-Jan-14 13:29:20

Ahh this 2ww is killing me! So inpatient anyway but this is on a whole different level! If only google didn't exist....

Treaclepie19 Fri 24-Jan-14 17:53:08

Bangonthedoor I know the feeling! I'm impatient just waiting for a positive OPK!

Trying to focus on losing weight so its keeping my mind busy smile

Argh! Stupid phone.
My cycle really has changed :/ last nonth I got a flashing smiley opk at 5 days after AF finished.
Woke up this morning expecting negative opk and its flashing smiley! 2 days after AF :/
Glad we decided yo start dtd early!

Bangonthedoor Mon 27-Jan-14 13:20:42

Fingers crossed for you treacle xx

Well...last night I had a dream that I got my bfp 8dpo... I'm so hoping this comes true! When I had DD and I took her to get weighed for the first time since having her, the night before I dreamt that I took her and she weighed 10lb 2oz. The next day I took her and what did she weigh? 10lb 2oz! Maybe this is the same thing?!?

I'm so tempted to start testing even though I know in my head it's way too early!

ToffeeJungle Mon 27-Jan-14 14:24:33

How's everyone doing?

I'm not really sure where I am in my cycle as last time it wasn't what I thought (turned into a 32 day cycle when I was expecting a 28 day one) so am trying not to think about the testing bit and just focussing on dtd! If I can I'm just going to wait and see if AF turns up (presumably next week sometime) and just see what happens from there... well best intentions an'all that! I'll probably be POAS tomorrow!!!!!

toots123 Mon 27-Jan-14 16:48:25

Haha toffee dont poas too soon!! Im trying the not think about it tactic. I'll report back when if I cave in!

I think I ov'd on Thursday so im around 4dpo (bit confused about if ovulation has happened tho) so im trying my hardest not to test until valentines day though. We shall see haha

noimagination80 Mon 27-Jan-14 19:20:33

How's it all good everyone?

Not much to report here, 7/8dpo, not feeling anything different. Had a little bit of cramping at 4d &5po. Don't think we will see a bfp this month..tho still got a week to drive myself crazy.

We tried preseed this month, dh not a fan...anyone else used it before?

Bangonthedoor Mon 27-Jan-14 21:27:46

Don't you hate how crazy it makes you noimagination I'm the same and I wish it didn't! Don't write anything off until AF shows up grin

I've come down with a sore throat and a stuffy nose today (around 8dpo) just woke up this morning and there it was. I suppose it's too early to have symptoms like this isn't it?! Probably more to do with the fact I was walking around London all and out of shops and tube stations hmm

I have experienced cramping but can't really remember what days and not quite sure I would have noticed it if not ttc.

Bangonthedoor Mon 27-Jan-14 21:31:59

How's everyone distracting themselves from the 2ww?!

Treaclepie19 Mon 27-Jan-14 21:35:48

I've missed so much!
I'm not in the 2ww at the mo. Got a solid smiley this morning grin

toots123 Tue 28-Jan-14 07:07:39

Im trying not to think about it and not symptom spot. Doing finr so far but it's early days. I wont class myself late until 16th feb but im sure I'll have peed on loads of sticks by then!!!!! smile

Enjoy dtd treacle smile

Shardlake Tue 28-Jan-14 10:24:09

Hello! can I join? TTC#2 Cycle no. 4. BFP due about 11th Feb. Just coming to the end of our DTD marathon! good luck everyone smile I think October is a pretty cool month for a birthday.

Treaclepie19 Tue 28-Jan-14 12:38:33

Haha thanks toots smile
Hi shardlake smile
I agree about October! Halloween babies!!!

Bangonthedoor Wed 29-Jan-14 13:30:35

I stupidly poas this morning. Obviously a bfn!! I keep miscalculating but by looking at my dates again im pretty sure im about 8dpo today so far too early but couldnt help myself!! Need my hands to be tied!

ToffeeJungle Wed 29-Jan-14 15:09:12

Quick question ladies - is thick cervical mucus a good sign for pregnancy or not?
I've had quite a bit of discharge (sorry TMI) but I always thought that thick white gloopy type mucus happened around ovulation? Though I'm on day 25 of my cycle so doubt I'm ovulating and just wondered if it had any significance???

ToffeeJungle Wed 29-Jan-14 15:10:43

Sorry posted too soon - was meant to say thanks!!!

Also, Bangonthedoor I can completely understand you poas! The wait is torture and you just can't help it can you???!! I had to resist buying pregancy tests whilst in Boots earlier otherwise I'd be doing the same!!

noimagination80 Wed 29-Jan-14 21:05:14

Hey all,

ToffeeJungle, i had thicker white cm on Friday, that would have been day 17, not really had it before and only lasted a day. I tend to get clear, think egg white type cm the day before I ov.

Bangonthedoor....I did this same this evening blush bfn of course, checked the calendar again today and it's day 8........Can this take any longer!

ToffeeJungle, have fun with the dtd!

Bangonthedoor Wed 29-Jan-14 21:28:42

Nice to hear updates and know that im not the only poas addict.

I know its too early to experience symptoms and im trying so hard not to symptom spot!! Just humour me wink

Ive been sooo emotional last couple of days as well as suffering from this cold still. I cried earlier when i booked tickets for me and dd to see in the night garden live...ok i didnt just cry, i sobbed at the thought of how much shes going to love it. How ridiculous?! But it could just be my emotions around ttc as oppose to a

Argh...hurry up next week!!

toffeejungle excessive cm is always a good sign!! But annoyingly can just be a normal part of your cycle. Is it normal for you at this stage? When are u due to test?

ToffeeJungle Thu 30-Jan-14 09:35:53

Hmm... not sure about the CM then - I've been searching on the web and just seem to get conflicting info! Some say thick CM is a sign of ovulation, some say it's a sign of pregnancy and some say it's just part of the normal menstrual cycle and probably means you're NOT pregnant???!!!
I'm not sure what is 'normal' for me either, I've never really monitored my CM and am still not sure of the difference between 'fertile' CM, EWCM, any other sort of CM?!
Saying that, I think I remember last cycle asking whether or not thick CM was a good sign (as I had it then too) and obviously wasn't pregnant so I'm not hopeful... I don't 'feel' pregnant...

I think AF is due around 5th Feb so I'm just going to hold out until then and if AF doesn't arrive I'll test on 6th Feb. I havent got any pregnancy tests at home so I can't even be tempted to poas (just need to maintain the willpower and not go out and buy any!!)
I just think if I'm pregnant I'll find out next week with or without poas - plus can't keep affording to buy them!

When is everyone else thinking of testing?
