I'm still numb and can't quite believe it! Is this normal? When will it sink in?

VJONES1985 Thu 12-Dec-13 17:56:17

Well, I last tested on Tues and got a faint line so I left it until now and have just got a very dark line :-) So feel much better now and am guessing that means I either ov'd on cd14 or 15. We dtd on cd12, 13, 14 and 17.

mama31 Wed 11-Dec-13 23:23:10

No clue VJ! I'm pretty useless with the real technical bits....dtd at the right time, opks and taking vits is as far as I know! I "think" it takes about 2 days to show on a test from implantation so if showed up on dpo 11 you may have ovulated on 8dpo, but I'm not expert just what I've learned from reading the bus threads!

VJONES1985 Wed 11-Dec-13 17:28:05

Do you know how long it takes for hcg to appear in urine? Am trying to work out when implantation actually happened...

mama31 Wed 11-Dec-13 17:25:17

Thanks VJ good to know!!! smile

VJONES1985 Wed 11-Dec-13 16:47:40

Mama - I was on b6 for month and it made no difference at all. My LP seemed to sort itself out and, judging from pains, implantation was 9dpo.

mama31 Wed 11-Dec-13 16:42:38

That's great to hear! I've stopped all the b6 etc so just letting it all settle itself and I think I have 10 or 11 day LP so will just assume it's not a problem now and let nature take its course!!! I'm impatient though so easier said than done!

H&H 9 months to you lovely! X

VJONES1985 Wed 11-Dec-13 16:38:06

Mama - well, for the first three months my LP was seven days, then in month four it was 11 days. This month I tested around 10 dpo and it was positive. Am now 13 dpo (I think).

mama31 Wed 11-Dec-13 16:01:12

Just hoping I get the same happy ending VJ! Brill news for you! X

mama31 Wed 11-Dec-13 15:16:58

Major congrats Vjones!!! There's a msg for you on the party thread! So pleased for you! Just a question did your cycles or LP get longer?? Or did they sort themselves out? Just I'm spotting still, LP 10 days and hoping this isn't the issue for me!

Feelingfatty Wed 11-Dec-13 14:39:07

Isn't that what those ones are called that tell you how far along you are? That's my last test now as I have (sort of) accepted its real!

spinningirl10 Wed 11-Dec-13 14:03:43

Yay, Congratulations!!!! grin

VJONES1985 Wed 11-Dec-13 12:35:54

Thanks :-)

Fatty - haven't done one today as yet. Am trying not to. What are conception indicators?

SoMuchFruit Wed 11-Dec-13 09:56:20

Just saw this on another thread and had to come straight over to congratulate you!

Yaaaay! Thrilled for you thanks fgrin

Feelingfatty Wed 11-Dec-13 08:27:36

How did it go today v jones? Nice dark lines?? Mine have got much darker today so no more tests for me (although going to buy some conception indicators to see it going up over next few weeks!!grin) good luck xx

Writerwannabe83 Tue 10-Dec-13 19:34:08

I was still taking pregnancy tests about a month after my initial BFP grin

There was just something so reassuring about seeing that second line!!

I'd take one now if I had one, lol grin

Feelingfatty Tue 10-Dec-13 19:24:28

V jones I would do another tomorrow(I'm going to!!) then stop and do another at the end of next week just to make sure it's still positive but it will be smile

VJONES1985 Tue 10-Dec-13 18:55:05

Am I ever gonna stop taking pg tests?? Lol. I'm just so anxious!!

DearDinah Tue 10-Dec-13 11:49:44

Congrats both thanks

Felyne Tue 10-Dec-13 08:42:21

It can take a while to sink in!
I sometimes caught myself wondering whether I should believe the pregnancy test or not ("was it really positive?") and then I realised that I had a newborn baby so yes it was...wink

Feelingfatty Tue 10-Dec-13 08:35:06

And thanks last one

Feelingfatty Tue 10-Dec-13 08:34:54

Yes I've heard they can from batch to batch I wouldn't worry to much! (Says me peeing on another test to compare!!)

LastOneDancing Tue 10-Dec-13 08:24:41

Congratulations Jones & Fatty!

Don't worry Jones - the lines vary in darkness, particularly if you're using different batches or brands.

Brilliant news! thanks

VJONES1985 Tue 10-Dec-13 08:19:26

Is it normal to still have a IC line this morning that is very feint? It's fainter than yesterday's frer but think it's slightly darker than yesterday's IC. Oh god, need to calm down!

Feelingfatty Mon 09-Dec-13 22:32:48

Thought you said that! How exciting!!! Have you told anyone other than dh of course?!

VJONES1985 Mon 09-Dec-13 22:30:52

Yes, my first!
