I'm still numb and can't quite believe it! Is this normal? When will it sink in?

Clargo55 Mon 09-Dec-13 20:44:11

Did you get a BFP?

VJONES1985 Mon 09-Dec-13 20:47:53

Yes, sorry it is on another of my threads from last night but I should have been clearer!

My first bfp I did about 10 tests, came home early from holiday and missed my favourite festival because I just could not process the fact that I was pregnant.
It took ages to become reality for me, so I know just how you feel OP.
Go and look at baby clothes to feel even wierder!

VJONES1985 Mon 09-Dec-13 20:59:21

Ha! Thanks, glad I'm not the only one. It just feels like a dream.

StellaLuna82 Mon 09-Dec-13 21:09:46

Congratulations!! Did you feel any different during your 2WW at all? smile

VJONES1985 Mon 09-Dec-13 21:12:32

Yes, very calm. I just kind of knew I was pregnant, didn't stress over it and am actually more anxious now that I got my bfp! Ha ha! I keep thinking af is gonna turn up anyway.

StellaLuna82 Mon 09-Dec-13 21:15:49

It must be such a surreal experience. Do you mind me asking how long were you trying for and did you DTD every other day?

VJONES1985 Mon 09-Dec-13 21:18:42

Five months and no, we didn't. Not sure when I ov'd exactly but say it was cd16 - we did it cd13, 14, 15 and 18. A few times either side of that fertile window too. Tje massive difference for me this month is that I totally relaxed. I stopped charting, obsessing and worrying completely.

StellaLuna82 Mon 09-Dec-13 21:23:39

Oh well fantastic news and congratulations again. Keep MN up to date with your progress!! smile

VJONES1985 Mon 09-Dec-13 21:29:29

mssleepyhead Mon 09-Dec-13 21:31:42

Rally happy to hear how well things are going! At least you have 9 months to get used to it : ) enjoy it!

VJONES1985 Mon 09-Dec-13 21:40:39

Thanks :-) Have tested three times in 24 hours and the line got darker each time. Think I'm about 11 dpo today and am bound to keep testing for a few days yet!

Lynsey14 Mon 09-Dec-13 21:43:28

Yay!!!! Congratulations!!!

Procrastinating Mon 09-Dec-13 21:57:31

Stella if you are ttc it was egg white that did it for me every time (4 pregnancies).

VJONES I remember being hit by a huge wave of nausea about 14dpo. Quick, eat things while you can!

Feelingfatty Mon 09-Dec-13 21:58:15

I have got my bfp today... Have done a 3 cheapies, 1 tesco, a clearblue and a superdrug and all faint bfps! Done a superdrug digital and there in clear words PREGNANT!!! Ekk hope it sticks! Congrats op! I think we met in other threads when I was bambi27??

VJONES1985 Mon 09-Dec-13 22:01:27

Yes, I'm sure we did! Wow, did you do all those today? How many dpo are you?

Feelingfatty Mon 09-Dec-13 22:07:29

Yes I did so them all today grin haha! Basically i started with internet cheapies and got carried away as I didn't have any with fmu so were pretty faint so had to save up my wee through the day ha ha! Last one was quite dark smile and obviously digital was digital but all clear bfps so no idea why I've done so many just couldn't believe it after trying for over a year!! Yah! Hoping for a nice dark test in the morning! I'm cd 26 of around a 28 day cycle, u?

VJONES1985 Mon 09-Dec-13 22:12:10

Cd27 of a 27 day cycle. Got a vvv faint bfp last might, then much clearer ones today. Will test again in the morning!
