Hi
I've just started charting, using a chart I printed off baby centre, the temps start at 97.0, the past two days my temp has been under this 95-96, I take it again & it just sneaks in over 97.05. My thermometer is new & I'm taking it immediately as I wake up 6.30-7.00 don't get out of bed. Is something or am I doing something wrong?

Sorry can't help much as I also starting temping this month. Mine were all over the place a bit, but I stuck with it and there was a definitely a spike when I ovulated. I keep track of it through fertility friend as they analyse it too.

hi. I temp in Celsius so not100% sure.

but having just googled some conversions "normal" is considered 97-99.

However I have been temping for four months and I normally sit about 95 and rise to high end of 96 post ov.

I don't know if I'm abnormally low too, but I definitely see a pattern for ov in my temps every month.

I wouldn't worry about it.

Everyone's temperature is different and just before ovulation my temps are really low (in the 35's - I temp in Celsius). I Would also recommend using fertility friend to track, it will let you put your temps in whatever they are and analyse the stats for you. it is free for the basic charting tool but once you get used to it (and if you haven't had your BFP) you can upgrade to a more whizzy version but the basic tool does the job in my view. I found it very illuminating in understanding my cycle.

Thank you, I thought it was odd that the thermometer I got was in F, I did sign up for that app once I'll dig out my log in details and try again, I'm easily confused! Just thought this TTC lark would be the easy part!

OP totally use FF. I have become a convert. I found you need to give it a month or so to figure out temping, at least.

My temps were odd at first but have settled into a distinct pattern.

My advice: temp as far as poss at the same time every day. Temp whilst still lying in bed, so I set my alarm for 5 minutes before I need to get up and then have a reward of a 5 minute lie-in with a thermometer hanging stylishly out of my mouth Hmm

I then record temps in my iPad which lives next to the bed. You get some weird random days (e.g. if you are stick, temp at a different timet etc) but mostly you find a pretty obvious pattern after about the first month.

Good luck!!
