Bit of background so not to drip feed. I'm 42 and have been TTC (again) since Aug 2012 after a NMC at 8 weeks in the July. It was my first pregnancy and I fell PG 6wks after coming off the pill.

I'm now two days late on a regular 28 day cycle. Norks like a road map of London and painful, two days of period like cramps last Mon/Tues to the point I though AF was coming early, but nothing. Nose like a bloodhound and occasionally a bit nauseous and dizzy. Already on 5mg of folic acid for TTC as per MW's instructions.

I'm terrified to test!! I'm not sure if its fear of disappointment or fear of going through the potential pain of MC again.

Talk some sense into me, please!!

I can understand why you're nervous OP but I'm afraid it is what it is... Testing or not isn't going to change your current condition.

Either you're pregnant (hooray!) and can start being excited & positive and get yourself prepared; or you're not lucky this month and can have a huge glass of wine, enjoy some pate and mouldy cheese & try again next month.

I really wish I could say something more helpful, but pregnancy is just a scary, uncontrollable thing.

I have my fx for you. Good luck!

Thanks Princess. Ironically I told DP that I'd happily hang on till New Year now, so it'd be typical to happen now Smile

Shopping tonight so may just take a step forward and purchase a test the fact my raging allergy symptoms are back and I'm knackered all the time kind of makes me suspicious along with everything else.

Good idea - get a test in and then if you have a brave moment or feel ready you're ready to go!

Law of sod says you are definitely pregnant just in time to miss out on Christmas festivities. But your friends will love you for being the designated driver Smile

Ha! Unfortunately I'm still learning but good to go test wise. I have a feeling there will be a petition to make sure I'm passed by then. Have a big pissup trip planned for November, then christmas and promised ourselves a Caribbean hol in new year after five years of no overseas.

Of course I'll be pregnant. Grin

Thank you Grin
Telling no one in RL until 12wks this time although, can I bear to keep it from DM? She noticed my boobs last time, she's sharp that one. Luckily I've been on a health kick so had already cut down on alcohol and shouldn't rouse suspicion.

Also, Princess, I'd still be bottling it if you hadn't said test or no test, the outcome will be the same. That made me see sense.
Thank you Thanks
