I'm on cycle 2 trying for no 3 think I ovulated today af is due 25/26 Sep.

me too. i'm one week into the wait already. I'm due AF on 18th sept, but it's not always accurate. Not too hopeful though as I don't think we did it enough! Sorry, quite new, so don't know all the abbreviations. x

I've got such a headache and feel really sick. Can't face diner - really want to go to bed early to curl up under the duvet as its freezing! I have to wait up to go collect DH.

Hey Exactlywhat, I did use clear blue opk this month, so I did it around the right time, but not every day because on the 3rd day DH moaned that he felt like I was using him! That was me - off to bed early that night!

Fingers crossed guys - it's bloody horrible waiting and I'm trying not to even think about it!

allchat exactly same thing happened to us by day 3 (lastnight))DH said there is only so much sex a man can take!! So we only dtd twice. That was sun and mon and I ovulated today I think. Soviet got fingers crossed that the little swimmers have stayed alive and have done their stuff!

We managed to do it the day before too, only because I had some cm that I associate with O, even though the smiley face hadn't appeared that day. Smiley face came the next day, so I definitely did it around the right time, it's just whether they do their job or not! I start cramping around a week before AF so even though cramps are a big pregnancy sign for me (had them really bad last time) it's also a sign for my period. So cruel. I'm sitting here will dull aches taunting me. I've told myself AF is coming to try and mentally prepare myself.

BTW can someone clear up which day you start counting from? i.e. if smiley face appeared on a tues, would that mean weds would be dpo1? My smiley face stayed 3 days this time (i'm not using the advanced one)

hmm. that's tricky. Do you temp as well? bbt temps show the temp rise which is your ov day.
I have used CB opks for two cycles so far. I ovulated 48hours after the second peak day 1st cycle and on the second peak day this cycle.
Not sure how those only using opks tend to count.

oh gosh. So, even though I did it when I had my smiley face, i may have missed my actual ovulation.

Not charting temp's. Sounds silly because I'm on here writing about the 2ww, but I wanted to try and not get too caught up in it so I didn't want to put pressure on myself to wake up everyday. It's my 3rd cycle though, so I might see how I feel when AF arrives again. Also, my DH gets a bit funny about the science behind it. I think it puts him under more pressure.

I dtd on the 1st and 2nd day of smiley, but not the 3rd, so if I O'd 48hrs after the 3rd day, the swimmers will prob be dead in the water! Too hard to guess!

I'll just cramp for the next 7 days and try and get on with life!

I'm on 2ww too! AF due around 22nd and this is my 5th cycle of TTC 1st baby. If it doesn't happen this month I'm going to invest in a fertility monitor to check that I'm actually ovulating. I used to get pretty clear signs of ovulation and now I just can't tell anymore

Allchat- dont worry. Upto 4 days before ov and one day after counts as the fertile window. Sounds like you caught it.

She so- A cheaper way to see if you ovulate is charting your bbt. Decent thermometers (2 decimal places) are less than a fiver from Amazon.

I got BFN this morning. But it's only dpo11 so probably too early. I'm starting to think AF is on the way though.

Thanks jaykay. I have considered temp charting too. To be honest I'm not really sure what I'll do and I will have to do a bit more research if it comes to that.

Good luck for a BFP! Last month I went a bit nuts and tested loads as I was a couple of days late. I got a load of cheap preg tests from amazon which makes crazy testing a bit cheaper!

If I don't get BFP will definitely temp next month. Do you set an alarm every morning? I normally just wake naturally when DD walks in....

Last night the cramping was so bad it woke me up and I was considering getting up to take some pain relief. It just makes me mad because it can either be BFP or period - think it's more likely period as I only had light cramping with last pregnancy and not in the middle of the night.

Does anyone also get bad cramping about a week before AF?

Yep - Internet cheaply tests are definitely the way to go!

For temping - to get the mot accurate reading you are suppose to wake up by alarm at the same time every day. Apparently waking naturally can alter your temp. However, I refuse to set a 5am alarm on weekends to match my weekdays! So I decided to temp based on my normal daily cycle of sleeping/waking. This is an alarm 7days a week, but at a different time on weekends. I still clearly see a pattern so this works for me. I think it can easily get obsessive. I just want it to be as easy as possible! Sometimes I naturally wake before the alarm too (thought not often!).

I've got spotting again this morning - dpo 11. Tmi - weird almost black crumbs. Really weird. I'm fed up now. Just want AF to arrive so I can move into the next cycle. I have fairly long cycles, it feels like others on here almost lap me! (Must not get jealous, must not get jealous! )

I normally get bad period pains. Usually start slowly and then build quickly once AF starts. I've had terrible pains around ovulation this month. Not sure if its because Im using Agnus Castus, or if its just that Im taking more notice of my body. It was for a week before ov and a few days after. It's been intermittent since ov.
It's funny - some people get more pain than normal, which is a symptom. Others get less pain than normal - which is a symptom! How confusing can this ttc malarkey be?!

I had my smile on the Clearblue normal digital ovulation sticks the 3rd and 4th and dtd the 30. of August, 1. of September, 3rd and 4th and the 8th.... Hope its been enough. I have no idea what day I ovulated, but because my BF works different shifts, we could not do it the 5th and 6th, because we only saw each other for like 10 minutes all together those days.
No symptoms tho at all :(
Would love to test the 16th because its BF birthday, but I am afraid its to early. BFP or AF is due the between the 17th and 19th.

AF due on 14/15 depending on how I count from ovulation. Good point allchat. The counting dpo method is confusing to me too as I don't temp. Smiley opk on 31st and 1st.

I've decided to count 14 days from the second day I had the smiley face (i.e. next weds 18th)??? If I were to take it from my monthly cycle it would be on the weekend. My periods are not bang on and vary by a few days, so I think I O'd a little late and therefore I'm using that timing.

Does that sound right to you?

That's what I am doing too. 14 days from second day of smiley face ie 15th. Going by my last cycle af should have arrived yesterday. But I vary by a few days so who knows.
