I'm on my third flashing smiley with clear blue ovulation kit and cd 15 I thought I normally ovulated around this time always thought cd16ish. 3 days of flashing smiley is confusing me!

Anyone regularly use them?

There's another long thread on here about this.

First month I got two flashing, followed by a fixed - so textbook, like the instructions.
But second cycle I had 7 days flashing, before my fixed. I ovulated 4 days later this cycle.

I'm not sure what my pattern is yet. But I've seen some people say they ovulate later on months when they ovulate from a particular side.

So I would say stick at it. Three days flashing is definitely not unusual!

How was this mornings reading?

Yeah, doesn't seem to be unusual. When I used them a few months ago I had flashing smiley for over two weeks before fixed!

I had eight days of flashing smiles last cycle. Drove me insane, but I definitely ovulated - confirmed by blood tests.

In my case, it seemed to mean that I'd have the oestrogen surge as planned (that started about the expected time, generating a flashing smiley), but something held up ovulation, meaning that I had days and days of flashing smileys before the fixed smiley appeared to show the LH surge. Have you been under stress or anything that could've delayed ovulation or have you been taking anything to play around with your hormones? It's worrying when it goes on so long, but it seems to be very common and doesn't mean you won't ovulate. If you can, I'd try and get used to your 'personal' signs of impending ov like cervix position and CM - if you can work out what tallies with the fixed smiley, hopefully you won't need the OPKs for very long.

Hi babyrose. I'm afraid it's quite common to get lots of flashing smileys, and like RaRaZ says it's also possible that Ov has been delayed this month. Feel free to join in on our thread. I hope the link works!

Hi Charley, thanks I've started reading to catch up! Out of curiosity I took a opk and it had the same colour as it did on Thursday which was my first proper second line I had since testing on cd8.

I think my body is delaying it with not being well, going to try rest up tonight and get an early night.
