Hiya I'm currently in my 2ww of my 6th month of ttc.. Thought it would be difficult any way as my dp is in the forces so 3 days out of 7 he's home, but I've just been diagnosed with pcos also which is added issues! Anyone else feeling the strain?!

You are me lol.
TTC #2 DP is also in the forces and only home at weekends it's a bloody nightmare. I have no advice but thought id say hello. I have super irregular periods due to possible PCOS & im breastfeeding DS1 15months. I think I ov most months (been getting slightly obsessed with CM the last few months).
DP is on leave for the first 3 weeks of August and the plan is to dtd as much as possible and get pregnant - after that he's off to Canada for 2 1/2 months so I'm not giving us any option but to get a BFP next month. Grin.
Here to talk and moan when ever you want - feel free to PM if this thread gets lost
Xx

Thanks for the reply! Grin
I'm currently waiting to see my gp for my ovulation test results but I don't think I am.. With our ds we conceived 1st cycle! So I know there's obviously a problem. Dp is due a week off soon so I'm hoping that if I need fertility treatment it'll all happen around the same time Smile might give us a better chance. Its hard though just being limited to weekend cuz what more can you do?! I'm currently waiting for af to turn up now.
Good luck for August and I'm also here if you want to vent. X

There really isn't much more you can do - short of using the freezer and a turkey baster! My only reassurance is that sperm can survive In you for 5 days so if you dtd at the weekend and the last minute before your DH leaves on the Sunday and happen to ovulate on say wednesday or Thursday there is still a chance it could marry up with your egg Grin.

Good Luck with tour results.

My DH isn't in the forces but he's away a lot or work, sometimes for the whole week. We've only just started Ttc but it really worries me that if he's away while I'm ovulating that's a while month out Confused Horrible isn't it!

I used Persona...took 6 months as he kept disappearing at the relevant time!

Good luck.

I only see my OH at the weekend at the moment and understand hiw frustrating it is. I still manage to convince myself I'm PG every month even though I know the chances are less. I too work on the theory that the little fellas stay around for 5 days! I don't do the OPKs though as I think I'd get too depressed if I ovulated mid week.

Good luck all x

It's been confirmed this week that I'm not ovulating often due to pcos which is added stress! Awaiting appointment for my next steps but god knows when that's gonna be.. Just gonna keep going though Smile

Good luck everyone

Arh no that's rubbish. You ok?
What's the next step for you now?

DPs been home for 3 weeks leaving tomorrow. Think we managed to dtd when I ovulated (working by CM so not 100% I even did).
If I don't get my BFP in 2 weeks (going to hold out POAS till then) I'll be off to the GP to probably and begin the tests!

Yes, I'm in similar circumstances when he is in the country... DH is also in the forces and currently deployed, so everything is on hold for 4 months. I am a bit frantic about the two months he will be home later in the year as he is heading away for 5 months again early in the new year. The turkey baster & freezer idea is looking ever more of a consideration!

Sorry to see you've been diagnosed with PCOS. I hope they can help when you head back and things work soon for you!

I'm okay a little stressed at the moment which obviously isn't going to help things.. What's worse is dp is really getting down at the fact it's near impossible for us to conceive which isn't like him to show his emotions. I have my first fertility appointment at the end of the month so I hope they will start straight away Grin
Justhayley I would get to your gp ad get some tests done so they can help you sooner.

Hiya, I'm POAS on Monday - although don't think ill be getting my BFP, had a few "symptoms" but think I'm clutching at straws as in general I feel perfectly normal Hmm
If it's negative will be booking a GP appointment immediately. DPs abroad for 2 months now so the quicker I can start any treatment needed the better. Determined to get pregnant by Christmas Smile

Hi girls, jut thought I'd update you iv had the worst week and am feeling so low.
All last week I had a few symptoms and was starting to get excited thinking we just may of managed to get pregnant during DPs leave. Long story short, I POAS on Friday & actually got a positive. However it was short lived as on Monday I (TMI alert) woke up to the biggest bleed in my underwear & pyjamas. I went to the EPU & miscarriage was confirmed Wednesday. I'm absolutely devastated. DPs the other side of the world so can't even comfort me. Can't even begin to explain how I'm feeling Hmm.

I'm trying to focus on the positives - I can get pregnant, &also I had an Internal scan & was told there was no cysts anywhere!
Really hard to focus on that though, feel like my hearts been ripped out as part of a cruel joke Hmm

Hi justhayley. I'm so sorry ThanksThanks
I can't imagine how your feeling. It's good that you think of the positive sides to it though.. And it's such a good thing that you don't have any cysts. You will have your bfp again ?
