I think I have recently ovulated (not 100% sure about how EWCM) works though if I'm honest. 
Either way, my AF is due in 14 days so I guess I can join you

It is my first time TTC since removal of my Mirena coil 
I have a 'pretty much in the dark' buddy now. Yay
I haven't gone down the OPK route.....I'm scared I will get addicted [ smile]

Well my little knowledge of this ttc lark (dd was a pill baby!) is sperm can survive around 72 hours before ovulation so best to dtd every other day before ovulation so they are "waiting" as the egg only lasts 12-24 hours

Mee too! I got a fixed smiley on Tuesday and ewcm on the same day. From entering it all onto ovufriend (plus bbt) it said that I ovulated on Tuesday, but I reckon it was prob a day or so later so am prob about 4 or 5 dpo. Not sure exactly when AF due - will have to check. I am 37 and this is our 4th month ttc DC2.

We've used pre-seed for the first time the past few times of dtd - it's err slippery! I think Af is due 19/ 20/21 but who knows

A lube specifically for conception. All others are damaging to sperm but this is actually designed to help the swimmers along! It mimics ewcm

I think that ewcm occurs just before or on the day of ov, but not entirely certain so don't take my word for it.
I've never heard of pre-seed. Can you buy it in Boots or the supermarkets?
Going to be a long couple of weeks as I'm only 4 or 5 dpo and already beginning to imagine symptoms (itchy and tingly boobs). Must be all in my head as it's far too early for me to have proper symptoms - implantation wouldn't even have occurred by now!

It's an American product but I bought mine on amazon as recommended by others mumsnetters. Can be used via applicator or straight on you/him. Only frigging 2dpo

Now for a tmi cm mucus question Thursday and Friday seriously watery cm coupled with a positive opk, dtd both days, Saturday negative opk and minimal cm, think I ovulated according to various apps, yesterday and today cm is err creamy. I thought dpo were suppose to be dry?

Tea1Sugar - you probably wouldn't get any symptoms until implantation has occurred, which is about 6 - 12 dpo and even then you might not know for sure until you do a test. Some women get changes in their cm as a very early symptom of pg but many don't notice any change at all. I'm not v in touch with my body so have no clue really about my own cm - have only just discovered ewcm last month. But don't rule yourself out just yet!
