Well, I'm starting my Folic Acid today. Got a Christening and a Wedding next month but after that no alcohol. We won't be 'properly' trying until we come back from the Honeymoon but it wouldn't be the end of the world if it happens before! Although, expecting it to take quite a while. When my mum had my little sister when she was 32 (I'm 34) she was told she was an old mother! (I think they even used the word geriatric!)

Hi englishteacher. Just stopping by to say good luck! It's awful not being able to tell anyone in RL at such an exciting time isn't it! We have a thread on here for over 30s TTC # 1 called Elderberry Pavlovas where lots of us are teachers too. Feel free to stop by if you ever need support from people in a similar situation. Fx it happens quickly for you!

Thanks happylass, tbh I'd seen the phrase Elderberry Pavlovas but had no idea what it was about - new to all this mumsnet stuff!

It's elderly primagravis or something similar! Which is basically the medical term for a first time mother over the age of 30. Charming!!
