OPK advice needed!

This is my first month charting to help me understand my cycle. I have some OPKs and wanted to use them as well as temp and cm recording but have no idea what day of my cycle I should start. I don't want to waste loads, but also don't want to miss the crucial moment!

My cycles over the last year have varied between 26 and 33 days. Anyone with more experience able to tell me when I should start with the OPKs?

Hey. I followed the egg meets sperm plan which gives you guidance when to start using opk depending on cycle. There is an I book you can download for free which helped. I started day 10.

Sorry cant help with temping as haven't ventured down that route yet.

Good luck.

Thanks both. I'll have a look at the clearblue website and the egg meets sperm plan tonight.

I'm using internet cheapies, but I'll have another look at the leaflet to see if I missed any information in there.

For the first couple of months I would start from day 8. It is likely (I think) that you will ovulate around the same time each month, so you won't need to test for that long each time.

I think my Zita West book suggested ovulation is likely to be 14 days before your period. However, even with irregular cycles (pcos) I appear to ovulate v early on, day 10/11 each cycle.

I would recommend DTD every other day during likely fertile time,eg don't just wait for "the day".

Lots of "thinks" from me, hopefully somebody will be along with something more concrete.

Good luck.
