Am I being rediculous/ irrational?

Me and DH are thinking of starting to TTC towards the end of the year.
We will be 28 and this will be our first.

Am I being rediculous in already thinking that we will struggle to conceive?

I have heard so many horror stories about being on the pill for a long time or other issues.

Both our families have gotten pregnant easily, and this also adds to my thoughts, because if 4 out of 5 in a family are successful nearly straight away, there has got to be one that breaks the mould?

I have been on the pill for over 10 years too now.

Please tell me I am being irrational?

I hear day by day about more people (our age too) that have struggled for a long time

You'll never know til u try Grin
I'm 33 had been on the pill for 13 years and now have a 6 month old DD. Got pregnant fairly easily. Some struggle to conceive and some don't. I really don't think you're too old!!!

You're right to be prepared that it might take ages, or even may not happen for you. You have to have your eyes open and recognise that ttc can be a long long road.

On the other hand, I can count on two hands the amount of times I've had unprotected sex, and I'm currently 15 weeks with my second (I was 17 first time, 31 this time). We were really enjoying trying but conceived first time!

So be ready for either scenario, or something utterly different inbetween!
