I've received a copy of a letter from my consultant to my GP, referring me for a laparoscopy, MBT and ovarian drilling, as I have PCOS and on my HSG had sluggish flow from both tubes. Hmm

I know what the laparoscopy is, and the ovarian drilling but haven't heard of MBT before, and a google search seems to being up a shoe brand!

Can any of you knowledgeable people enlighten me please? Grin

? Metabolic basal temperature? Just guessing as that would normally be written basal metabolic temperature (or rate), something which they might test?

Hi I think it is Methylene Blue Test. They inject some dye into the uterus during the laparoscopy, then watch to see if it comes out of the tubes - to check if the tubes are patent.

Thanks, so something like a HSG then? Don't suppose it'll matter too much when I'm under GA anyway!
