Me and DP are ttc for the first time.

I got my implant taken out 3 weeks ago. Not had AF since. Over the past few days I've had a kind of whirrling feeling in my stomach. Then last night I couldn't sleep because my stomach was so unsettled. I then had diarrhea and felt so dizzy and like I was going to be sick - I had to lie on the bathroom floor!

Did a pregnancy test - negative.

I was getting my hopes up thinking that it could have happened so soon.

Does anybody have any experience of this?

Hi there. I had my implant removed in November and was convinced I was preg in December. I had flutters, left side pain so severe I had to phone nhs 24, painful nipples etc. Turned out it was just my body getting back to normal. Sorry this is probably not what you want to hear. Everyones different tho so fingers crossed for u x

hey! has my implant out a few years ago and it did not take long for me to get a regular cycle so maybe? i know when i came off depot it took much longer to get a cycle so i guess your hormones could have'rebalanced'.
I would suggest taking another test in a week if no AF. If you have not been successfull this time and get AF i would recomend getting OPKs (I use clearblue digital.
For the last 15 months i have been using calendar to predict our 'active' days, tried OPKs this month and have found i ovulated a week later than the calendar said!
Also how you been feeling today? not given yourself foodpoisoning or got a virus??

good luck [smlie]

Am afraid that I have experience of something like that - the strain of vomiting bug that is absolutely everywhere at the moment. If your pregnancy test was negative then it's more likely you're ill, unfortunately.

I think my first period was about 4 weeks after my implant came out. Leave it about another week/10 days before re-testing. Good luck and if you are ill, get better soon.

Thanks everyone. I wish AF would just hurry up so I know where I'm at. I never had a period the whole time I had the implant in, so it makes sense what you say about my body getting back to normal.

I'm so impatient Grin

I have 28 unsuccessful cycles of ttc and one successful. I felt fewer "symptoms" on the 29th. And believe me, I knew my body very well indeed by that point.
