CBFM - peeing question...

...I've been using the CBFM for the past couple of months. I've been using the first pee of the day which is
(1) slightly annoying - i.e. hanging about for 3 mins of eternity in the bathroom while hoping OH stays in bed in case today's the luuucky day
and
(2) apparently not as reliable as testing early afternoon, as I've just discovered.

So the important question is - can I change the time I start peeing for the next cycle or do I need to reset the monitor entirely, thereby losing all my previous data?

Of course, there won't be a next cycle any time soon because, obviously, I'll be pregnant this time next month Grin. But I would appreciate any feedback, many thanks.

PS this whole thing about timing - any one know for certain exactly when is the best time of day to pee? (2 pm keeps coming up on-line, though I'm not entirely sure why)

With the CBFM you should use FMU as this is what it's designed for as are the Clear Blue Ovulation Tests. Other OPK's are best used later in the day as they are designed to test more synthesised LH. So I use the CBFM in the morning and as soon as you get your highs you need to be DTD regularly as this is the start of your fertile window.

I also check in the afternoons with Cheap Internet OPKs once I have had a couple of high days so i can pinpoint when I will peak but that's because I am a bit nuts with it all - you don't really need to do both! Grin

That's great - thanks for clearing that up, Green.
OK, so I clearly need to invest in some (afternoon) cheapies and join you in the extra pissing.
I swore this month I'd just, y'know, leave it to chance. Since I'm obviously, y'know, really chilled out about TTC (at the age of 40).
But now I fear I've missed my window so next month, I shall follow your much more sensible lead Grin
Thanks again.
PS any cheap OPKs you'd recommend, or are they all much of a muchness?
