Hi Ladies,

As the subject suggests I am currently taking sertraline for depression and a recourence of my PTSD. We are going to start TTC #1 once I have been to the GP to talk about medication etc. all my research seems to suggest that a) sertraline is the safest anti-depressant to take during pregnancy and b) it is a balance between risking PND and recourence of symptoms anyway. I wondered if any one had any experiences of this, and if they would share?

(Please be kind about trying for a baby when suffering from depression, this is a feature of my life and it comes and goes, I can't put my life on hold for it!)

I had no problems conceiving on sertraline and am just about to start TTC dc3. I have been told by a GP and a pregnancy consultant that it is safe.

Good luck :)
