Ok im so lost, on cd 12,13,14 I had negative results on opk's but later on at nite I had a positive result on cd 15. So I wasn't expecting af til at least thurs and now it's just turned up first thing this morning!

Can anyone help me understand this?

So af showed up on dpo 11 (where dpo 1 is cd 16 at the earliest). What's your question? Are your cycles normally longer?

I thought af was really early, expected it more or less thurs or later!

They range from 24 and the longest 30, just got confused with positive opk's result on cd 15 and af showing up 11 days later or am I being thick?! Lol

Your luteal phase will vary. I think I read that 10 is the shortest for good implantation. I don't think I've heard of anyone on MN who has ovulated exactly half way through their cycle, although it's what we're told to expect from the text books. Are you keeping a record? Is this positive opk outside a rainbow range? I've had positives on day 10 and 15. It's the length of the luteal phase that matters after that. I don't think you're being thick at all, our bodies are not straight forward!!!

Ive always had symptoms and positive opk's 12/13 never expected to get one at this point and then af turning up early!

Been keeping a record of things for a good few months (8months)

I'm even more confused now that this has happened, I felt like I was getting somewhere with understanding my body!

This looks like a completely normal cycle to me, I wouldn't worry! They really can vary, and having af on 11DPO with a ovulation on CD15 seems really not out of range.
I'd say wait and see what happens in your next few cycles before getting concerned.

If the opk stick gave a positive result on cd 15 but would I not ovulate later?

just posted on your other thread!
As I said I've had varied results with opks, though I only have about 5 cycles to go on and I've not been consistent with the time I test or not drinking beforehand.
I have found I've had a positive opk on the day of ovulation and usually it's still positive the day after ovulation.
This month I had my first strong positive opk on d17 but I know from my temp rise I definitely ovulated on d16. I think it can be affected by the time of day you test, how dilute your urine is and how quickly the LH hormone reaches your urine after surging in your blood stream. Some people test twice daily.
