If I fall.pg this month I would be due January. If I fall.pg next month I will be due February.

We always always (since I was twelve) have a mass friends and family holiday for february half term. Its a good 4/5 hrs drive nd DH doesnt drive.

If I was lucky enough to get a BFP in April, we could do the trip with a tiny baby (did it with a six week old dd a few years back), however if I get a BFP in May it could mean being due around the time of the holiday.

I really dont want to miss the trip, and I know DH loves going, and DD gets a lot out of it too.

On the other hand, if I was, say, 38/39wks pg I could pack DH and DD off for the week.and sleeeeeep.

I suppose it depends which is more important conceiving ASAP or going on holiday

for the sake of a month, just leave it

Hmmm.....conceiving is high on our list of priorities, but its our main holiday - we dont really go abroad.

I wouldnt want to drive up there after 35/36 weeks (although the thoight of having a legitimate reason to.lie down all week appeals), but would be happy to do the trip with a newborn.

I waited an extra month to start TTC because of a giant family holiday that we only have every 5 yrs or so, all my many aunts, uncles and cousins most of whom I rarely see. I didn't want to miss it due to being immimently due. My reasoning was that, if I was going to be lucky and get pg quickly, one month wouldn't make much difference- if it was going to happen that month, its very likely it'd happen also on another month. If it was going to take me ages to get pg, then again, missing out on one month of TTC probably also would make very little difference to when I finally got pg. as it happens it seems like it is going to take us ages, but still I don't regret making that decision. if I faced the same dilemma now I'd probably keep ttc anyway as it seems unlikely we'd manage it that month!
