Hi all

Someone please advise me.. I'm worried.

Came off the pill in December and my cycles have pretty much gone back to normal straight away. Ranging from 29-31 days since then.

Today is CD10 and AF has been and gone for this cycle (ended 4 days ago)

I've just come home from a nightshift, gone for a wee, wiped and saw blood on the tissue paper. I wouldn't say it's bright red but wouldn't quite say its brown either.

I wiped again.. A bit more blood... Then decided to have a bit more of an in depth investigation (TMI SORRY) and yes... Blood! Not like I'm on my period but enough to scare me!

This has never happened before. Was on the pill for 10 years... Was regular before and been regular since.

What could it be?

Dr Google is scaring me

Come away from dr google. I don't know what it could be but go to see your gp. It could just be a bit of bleeding randomly cos bodies can do weird shit but your gp can investigate for you. Fingers crossed all its well xx

Thanks i think i will ho to my doctor tomorrow.

Whereas this morning it was reddish blood, it's now just browny blood/spotting when I wipe.

Maybe body is just getting rid of the remnants of AF? Or possibly gearing up for ovulation?
Although last month I ovulated on cd18 and I'm currently only on cd10...

Could be your period dragging out for a bit longer, but if you are worried see your doctor so that they can investigate x

AF came on 25th march and ended on 29th march which wasn't Friday!

Seems very strange to start bleeding again 5 days later. Blah Sad

Hi gilly. I am beginning to wonder if the vits play with our cycles a bit. I seemed perfectly normal until TTC and this is the only thing I can put it down too. Also, sorry if this is a bit personal but over enthusiastic DTD can sometimes cause bleeding....could be as simple as that?

Defo not dtd... Haven't done that since before AF so over a week ago!

Who knows what it is.. Seems to have stopped from what I can see.....I don't know... Aggghhh

Sometimes mid cycle bleeding can happen as a one off and you don't find out why. The GP may just say to keep an eye.

No chance you're pregnant?

I had a slight cervical erosion after being on the pill for years and if aggravated, it could bleed slightly. Enthusiastic sex or constipation for example could be aggravating factors.

Please don't google, it won't help matters and there's every chance it's something simple. See your GP for reassurance/investigation if they think it necessary.

From what I have read some people get quite a bit of spotting in early pregnancy. Dd you have a normal AF or was it lighter than normal? I would just get the doc to check you over to out your mind at rest

No defo not pregnant... My period came right on time and was the same as always... And I did tests before AF- all negative! Did one today just incase and negative.

I dunno.. Weird and really scared me to be honest but seems to have stopped (I think)....

Did you go the docs gilly?

Hi yes I did...
The bleeding stopped anyway and turned into browny discharge so the doctor is quite sure it was just some left overs from my period...
He did tested my urine and said I have no infection...
He said to monitor it and if it happens again they will do an ultrasound and blood test to see if there are any u feeling issues but to be honest he was quite sure there's nothing to be worried about.... Especially as I only came off the pill at the end of December so could just be hormones playing games!

Will keep an eye on it I guess.. It's totally stopped now and I'm approaching my fertile time and ovulation so trying to forget it and think about dtd instead! Wink
