to think I'm pregnant?

Will post this in ttc too, but know it's busier here (old MN member rejoined!)

Username says it all.

TTC #2 and I was due on yesterday. I've felt pregnant for the last week or so, symptoms include headaches, pinching/pulling in uterus area, nausea (but no actual sickness) - but now I'm wondering if it's all in my head?

Tested early twice last week (as I tested positive early with my first) but both came back negative.

Then yesterday I started leaking colostrum. I don't know if it's linked - but I met a pregnant friend and I felt a little leak! Then I checked and there was the orangey liquid I got at 33 weeks last time and today a little milk. Could that be my hormones knowing my friend is carrying a baby? (sounds strange I know!)

So I bought a digital test and it clearly states not pregnant! Am I imagining all the symptoms? And is the leaking something to worry about? (I stopped breast feeding my 1st over a year ago and have been dry since ... I know as I've often had the odd squeeze!)

So after 3 negatives ... AIBU to think I could actually be pregnant?

If you were pregnant enough to be producing milk and feeling nauseous, then a test would be positive.

I don't think you are pregnant, and if you are, then it won't be pregnancy hormones causing your symptoms, because as yet the levels are too low to even be detectable by a urine test.

Thanks HDEE - I did think that.

My other symptom is that I've gone off Wine and I never go off that!

Guessing it's just my mind playing tricks - no doubt I'll come on soon.

I had nausea in the evenings when pg with DD2, took a pregnancy test which was negative. Then had more symptoms (food tasting funny), so took another test which was negative at first then turned positive after a few hours in the bin Hmm. Test the following morning was positive. So it is possible to feel symptoms very early on ime.

Are you testing with first morning urine? Personally I'd buy a couple more tests, test in a couple of days, then again a week after that if it's still negative.

YABU to be posting this on AIBU since it's not a question of reasonableness.

YA also B a bit U to think that we can tell whether you are pregnant from here! :o

You might be pregnant even if the tests are negative. Some pregnancies never show up on the POAS tests. Go ask your GP.

Earnest - POAS tests are only reliable for the first 10-15 minutes or so - after that evaporation and chemical reactions gives a positive reading whether or not you're pregnant.

I know, but unfortunately I binned it after 5 mins (was going out, and it looked like a clear negative at first), so it may have gone positive within 10-15 mins. I couldn't be sure, so didn't feel I could trust it either way, hence re-testing. And now that I think about it, the negative that I'd had the week before didn't turn positive, which also made me suspect that the 2nd test might be a true (but faint) positive.

Have you recently come off the mini pill by any chance?

Hi there,

We have moved this thread out of AIBU and into Conception where we think you will get more targeted advice and support.

Good luck

Fairyegg - I cam off the mini pill 6 months ago - could it be that?

3 days late now and still getting negatives

Stupidly googled leaking breasts and have now scared myself! Rang the Dr's just to check it's nothing to worry about.

Awaiting call back.

Guessing I'm not ... but still wondering!
