Hoping the new thread brings a plethora of BFPs and lots of healthy arrivals!

amicablemoomin Tue 12-Mar-13 16:45:37

marking place......I agree mrshp, roll on Friday.

BTW, Anyone any idea when you can start to POAS after mmc but before LMP? just to try and give focus to my obsession....

HJBeans Tue 12-Mar-13 17:50:45

Thanks MrsHP! Hope there will be lots of good news on the thread.

Amicable: don't know but think with both of my mc's I had a period about four weeks after I'd stopped bleeding, so think I ov'd as usual. So you could treat it like a normal cycle if you don't mind possible stick wastage?

oo00PIXIE00oo Tue 12-Mar-13 19:18:30

Marking place - good luck MrsHP hope starting the new thread is lucky for you xx

MrsHerculePoirot Tue 12-Mar-13 20:27:41

Amicable I have no idea so sorry!!

Dorita75 Tue 12-Mar-13 21:07:54

Sorry jolly what a pain in the arse, hope they can reschedule soon?

amiable I suppose you've had a negative result since mmc? After I got that I got my first period at a similar time. Don't know if that's helpful or not!

MrsHerculePoirot Thu 14-Mar-13 10:33:57

She is beautiful backward thanks for sharing!

AF arrived here overnight. Boo.

HJBeans Thu 14-Mar-13 15:33:27

Sorry to hear it, MrsHP. You've got a doctor's visit coming up to start the ball rolling on investigations soon, don't you? Will keep fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for well wishing, jolly. All looked normal, though he'd not pose for the camera for a glamour shot. Fantastic how detailed the anomaly scan is, though, is really reassuring to see all that's going right. Hope you get rescheduled soon.

Jollyb Thu 14-Mar-13 16:45:05

Boo hiss to AF mrs HP.

Beans - glad you're scan was ok. Mine has been rescheduled for tomorrow which is actually quite convenient as I'll be at the hospital to see the consultant then too.

Hope everyone else is ok too. Pebs - how are you?

MrsHerculePoirot Fri 15-Mar-13 09:27:28

Boo hiss indeed especially as it was the same day I got a text from BIL announcing their news with their scan pic! I am beyond pleased for them, but it did floor me a bit and I may have had a little cry in the car!

Appt is next sat so only a week to go.

Jolly hope your scan goes well.

Beans glad your scan went well!

Jollyb Fri 15-Mar-13 17:28:26

Cry away Mrs HP. I still feel a little upset when others announce their pregnancies even though I'm finally pregnant myself .

Scan fine. Still looks like a girl.

amicablemoomin Fri 15-Mar-13 18:18:28

i'm the same mrshp, although mine is usally accompanied by a wail of 'it's not FAIR'. Although of course you are pleased for them it makes your heart sad. Good luck with the appointment.

Dorita75 Fri 15-Mar-13 18:53:59

Yes, cry as much as you want mrshp I found it so hard when people announced news. Hope your appointment all goes well tomorrow x

HJBeans Fri 15-Mar-13 18:56:40

Too late to wish you a good scan, jolly, but glad to hear it went well. My little boy stayed a boy, too - good to have continuity in these things, isn't it? :-)

I don't usually get upset by other pregnancies, but am a wee bit wistful that our friends' newborn has been given the fairly unusual name we have planned for our first son. We'll still use it, but couldn't help a wistful thought that if my last pregnancy had continued we'd have beaten them to it and gotten all the 'oh, what a lovely name!' comments from all our mutual friends. Now our comments will be 'oh, you liked their choice then, did you?' envy

I second the 'good luck with the appointment', MrsHP, and will keep fingers firmly crossed for both you and amicable.

Have a good weekend, all.

MrsHerculePoirot Fri 15-Mar-13 20:43:22

Thanks everyone! If not TMI, my period has been very clotty. I've noticed it before, although not sure if due to paranoia since my mc last year, but today there was a big old clot, a bit like the ones when I was mc last year. Am going to mention it to the docs, but don't know if anyone else has noticed/had similar?

MrsHerculePoirot Sat 16-Mar-13 11:14:02

I've frightened you all off now haven't I?!? blush

Redbird12 Sat 16-Mar-13 12:30:09

Glad to hear the scans went well jolly and beans. I have to wait until 3rd May for my 20 week scan so a few weeks to decide whether we are going to find out the sex or not (am leaning towards yes).

backward gorgeous picture of Esther, she is lovely. Hope you are both doing ok.

Mrs HP sorry to hear about AF's arrival. I can't remember how long ago your mc was but my periods were a bit all over the place in terms of timings and how heavy or light they were for a few months after my last mc. When i saw the doctor she just said they would take a while to settle down and also it was to be expected by your late 30's anyway! So whilst it was reassuring, it didn't really help. I also had acupuncture last summer to try to make my cycle more regular and just make me less stressed about ttc. I had heard so many good stories and wanted it to make a difference but it really didn't seem to make a difference at the time.

I'm not sure if my body just wasn't ready at that point after 2 mmc's or whether I was just frustrated that it had all happened relatively easily before and now seemed to be taking ages. It wasn't until I had almost given up on the idea of us ever having DC's and stopped stressing about it so much that I actually got pregnant. But i know it is far easier said than done to not think about it!

Dorita75 Sat 16-Mar-13 18:26:10

Sorry for not replying sooner mrshp ! Did you go for your appointment today, did you mention clots? I don't think it's anything to worry about, I also had funny fluctuating periods all last year. x

MrsHerculePoirot Sat 16-Mar-13 20:09:48

Haha - I was only joking! Appt is next Sat so will see what they say there!

Redbird, I sort of know that worrying doesn't help, but as you say it is hard. I think maybe if they just check me I'll perhaps feel better about it, who knows!
