Conception

Giving up hope even though I'm only on day 11 of cycle (tmi)

Hi
I have no idea what's going on really! My cycles are 28 days, very regular, ovulate on day 14, period on day 28. We've been TTC dc2 for about 18 months, dc1 was conceived first cycle.

Each month I get a sign of a big glob of cm (sorry tmi) about day 11-12. It arrived today and I know it means I will ovulate in the next couple of days or so.

The only month I haven't had it is the month I got pregnant with my ds. We dtd on day 11 and 13 with him and I got a positive ovulation test that month but no glob of cm.

I've just had the cm today so should I assume I'm probably out this month? As in not going to be pregnant. I know it makes so sense as I haven't even ovulated yet, but it's strange that the only month I didn't experience the cm was the month I was pregnant, every month since having ds and every month before I always have this very very noticeable cm around day 11 or 12.

Has anyone else experienced similar?

It could just be coincidence???
We need the cm to allow the sperm to swim, don't we? apart from the glob of it you describe, do you notice it as ewcm closer to ovulation? If not then maybe you need to work on that.
I'm not a Dr :) but when you previously conceived - is it possible that unknowingly you had made you cm perfect (egg white ) by drinking more water than usual? did you have a cough, cold and you took medicine that contains the ingredient that thins cm?

Maybe have a look around the net to see what else you can do to get optimal ewcm and try it for next month, see if it stops this glob. (that's of course if you aren't preg this mth)
Sorry if I don't make much sense, just trying to help :)
Good luck

Thanks.
I do notice ewcm for a couple of days before ovulating but in addition to this I've always noticed this clear glob of cm. I read somewhere it was to do with a hormone surge but who knows?
I just find it strange that the only month I didn't have it was when I conceived ds. We have been on referred on for infertility testing now, I am definitely ovulating (blood test and scans show this) and dh is being tested next week.

Ah so if you do get ewcm at the right time, it's not such a good idea to mess with it and try to thin out/get rid of this glob part (if it's possible anyway)
Great that you have appointments and tests and also that you've had positive results for ov/hormones/scans and hopefully a fertilty expert can shed some light on this for you.
Good luck with everything x
