Hi

This may be tmi at times so I apologise now!

Me and my partner are ttc and my last AF was the 4th Feb, it lasted about 2 1/2 days.

On Saturday I started losing blood which was dark brown. I'm still losing blood at the minute, though the colour as gone lighter. It's kind of like a light period.

I was just wondering if anyone else as had this experience? And if it will effect me conceiving?

Thanks

Hi, I haven't had this exact thing. Have you recently come of birth control? If so it could be your body readjusting. Took me 6 months to get back to normal! x

I had a copper coil taken out at the beginning of December, since then my periods have only lasted 2 1/2 days. Was loving it until this lol

Would be lovely if it was implantation bleeding, I'm not having any other symptoms though.

I get that quite often, and it's usually brown but sometimes very dark red. I think it's mid cycle spotting because I have polycystic ovaries. My cycles were very irregular which is why I got checked and found out. I'm not trying to worry you though, I have heard of people just getting spotting mid cycle randomly, especially after coming off the pill, as well as very short cycles etc for a while. If you're worried though, or your periods are really irregular, you could go to your GP and ask for blood tests and a scan? And as mrsbucket says it could be implantation bleeding which would be great, although the frustrating thing about spotting is it can get your hopes up about that! Good luck ttc x

Thanks Alexandra6
My cycle is usually 28 - 32 days, if this becomes a regular thing I will definitely go to my doctor. People in my family have pcos, I'm not sure if it can run families

Good luck to you too ? :-)

Would report any such changes to the GP particularly if it keeps happening. It should be checked out further.
