Endo symptoms?

We've been ttc number 2 for ages. I am now having investigations and wAiting got an app for an hsg scan. I am feeling very down as I won't be funded if I need ivf as I already have a dc and we thought we'd be able to pay privately but found our today that dh is probably going to lose his job.

I have very painful ovulation some months. It lasts about two hours or so and only eases if I lie still. That is my only symptom, the dr didn't seem to think it was endo but more likely scarring from a c section infection on the Fallopian tubes.

If it was endo would I more likely have painful periods and other symptoms? Everything else is ok, it's just the pain on ovulation. Which I've always had but I'd say it's ten times worse since having my ds.

We started fertility investigations in September (also TTC no2) and, through ultrasound scan, was told that I have endo. The endo was wrapped around my Fallopian tubes and actually stuck the ovaries to the back side of my uterus (instead of being free at the side of the uterus). I also had a couple of endometriomas (blood filled cysts caused by endometriosis) in my ovaries. One was almost 3cm, the other 1.5cm.

I had NO SYMPTOMS AT ALL of either the endo or the cysts!

In mid-December I had both a laparoscopy (to drain/remove the cysts and to ablate the endo on the Fallopian tubes and to unstick the ovaries) and hysteroscopy ("uncertain irregular surface inside uterus" shown on ultrasound and it also helps just resurface the uterus lining) at the same time.

I start IVF (ICSI) during the next few weeks: husband's sperm count has also been shown to be consistently abnormally low. The IVF will be private.

You may or may not have endo, but endo is treatable and the treatment could very well help your fertility. If husband didn't have consistently low sperm count (4 tests in all!), then we wouldn't be starting IVF now: we would be seeing whether the endo treatment did enough to improve our fertility.

Thank you. Do you mind me asking if you conceived easily first time round?
I have had an ultrasound which showed nothing but I don't think endo always shows up on ultrasounds although I could be wrong.

My friend conceived the cycle after her HSG, maybe because the 'cleared' whatever gunk was clogging up her tubes? It hasn't worked for me yet but still hoping xxx

I've heard that anecdotally. I'm not sure when the appointment will come through, I am waiting for an appointment.
I'm a bit scared of it in case it really hurts which apparently it does if the tubes are blocked.

It took us 11 months to conceive, then an early miscarriage (about 5.5 weeks), then a cycle off, then conceived DS straight away (now just turned 3).

With DH's sperm count, the first two conceptions were miracles. I have no idea of I had the Endo and endometriomas back then.

Mine did show up on the ultrasound (grey bits around my Fallopian tubes). My tubes were flushed during my hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, but I had a General Anaesthetic so had no awareness (and some nice painkillers afterwards). My tubes were apparently clear (internally) anyway.

Friend of mine has bad Endo (normally treated with drugs) and she had just conceived DC2 (she conceived DC1 on the first attempt - very lucky!).

Hello, I have had hsg. Drs told me that it does Increase your chances of conceiving for a few cycles afterwards, but they do not know why. So probably worth a good few shags afterwards whether or not the results show endo.

I took a couple of paracetamol when I arrived at hospital. It wasn't especially painful, kind of uncomfortable, but ok and very quick.

Got a follow up appointment for an ultrasound that came back clear.
I'm not happy that everything is clear.

But of advice wanted really do I tell the doctor I want further tests as I think it's endo? Do I just show him my pain diary? I just don't know what the best way to go about this is So any advice would be much appreciated
