Hi ladies!

Quick question for those in the know...

What is the difference between the Clear Blue Ovulations tests and the Clear Blue Fertility tests??

I'm totally boggled, so ladies, what IS the difference and is one better than the other?

Thank you! xxx

Hello!

I Remember reading another question on this board abut this and there were some really good answers. Scroll down the board for thread on clearblue monitor. I'm no expert, but my understanding is that the ovulation tests (OPKs for short), detect the surge in one hormone LH that occurs just before you ovulate. clearblue tests give you a smiley face when this is detected and you should dtd within 48 hours. You don't need to test again that cycle once you have seen the smiley. I have been using these and find them very easy.
The monitor also detects the LH surge, but also another hormone, which gives you a longer fertile window. So rather than just 48 hour, it will give you a build up of days to dtd! I'm going to start using the monitor once af arrives. The monitor asks you for test sticks on certain days and you have to set a testing window.
Hope this helps, but do look for the pervious threads too Smile
