I was on the mini pill for a month and then was fitted with an implant, my periods have always been regular at 28days including the months I have had the implant however I'm a week over due and done a test, there was a very very faint line barely there at all , I showed DH and he said he couldn't see anything Confused
Has anyone experienced this before? Has anyone gotten pregnant whilst having an implant? I'm so confused! Thanks! Xxx

No personal experience of this but I've seen lots of threads where women have got pregnant using the implant. It seems to have a high failure rate.
How are you feeling about it?

You could be. Retest in the morning.

Oh no way! I know its not 100% but that's a shock! I'm a little worried but my DH is weirdly excited considering the shock. We already have DD who is nearly 3. Suppose DD has been asking for a little brother called George pig for a while now...xx

Sometimes you can see a very faint water line that looks like a positive but its more likely to be a real positive result if its coloured rather than shadowy?! Def retest after little fluid. Though at a week late I'd expect a positive now but not everyone does... Exciting!

Thanks ladies, I tested last night, the line was super pale but def pinky, like I said it was probably a trick of the light but I have barely made it off the couch today, I'm feeling so sick. I will pop out for a test tomorrow and test again. X

My periods were all over the place on the implant and stopped altogether at one point, I've also had that watery line that's not really a line before. I'd get a digital test to be 100% sure of result xx

I had a very faint line with DC5, try again in a couple of days if you can wait that long.

Just done another test, waited 5mins and once again another barely visable line, I'm very confused, think I will buy a digital one so I know for sure x

IMO a line is a line is a line, but you are right to get a digital to be sure. Make sure it is your wee first thing in the morning so hormone is most likely to be detected.

I so can't wait, done another test and sent a picture to a friend, I don't know how to upload the picture here but between the max line and the dark control line there is a faint, pink, half a line :/ x

You could be I suppose, I thought any line was a positive?

A line is a line. I would say you are pregnant.

It's very possible. I know a lady who was.. she's not far off delivery now.

If you're a week late and the line is very very very very faint then it may not bode well, but I guess with the implant there's no way to be sure on dates if it has screwed up!

I have been on the mini pill and implant and neither affected my periods at all, however last month my arm was so itchy I nearly ripped my implant out myself so perhaps it had moved?? I'll gather more pee and test again x

I had my implant fitted a year ago about a month later I had morning sickness. I was convinced I was pregnant. Did test after test and started considering my options. Think it must have been the hormones in the implant. I never had a positive test though.
I also add that I have not had a period since. Not one.

Use a test first thing in the morning as your pee is normally stronger then
