My af is due on 5 January.

Is it too soon to poas? I have some first response ones...

TWinklyLittleStar Mon 31-Dec-12 10:28:52

It's too soon. If you're pregnant you'll still be pregnant in a few days. Don't pee on your expensive stick too soon!

BrevilleTron Mon 31-Dec-12 10:39:23

Don't do it yet! My AF is due on 10 Jan and I've got the achy boobs and frequent wees
Hold out hand.
Not til the 5th girl. Put the test somewhere safe.

Don't do it. I got BFNs right up until the day before AF was due.

jemimahpuddleduck Mon 31-Dec-12 10:41:48

Too soon I'm due on the 6th and poas this morning first response aswel! Was a BFN and waste of a stick!!

HettySunshine Mon 31-Dec-12 10:42:35

Thanks ladies! I know you're right. I'll be patient for a few more days.

Good luck Breville - fingers crossed!

bundle4me Mon 31-Dec-12 10:42:51

I agree with Twinkly Little Star (never thought I'd say that sentence before!) I know is probably making you very anxious not knowing - I'm in the same boat! If you are pregnant then it could be too early for a BFP and its not fair to go through a BFN if you don't have to. It's your decision though. Good luck!

HettySunshine Mon 31-Dec-12 10:45:56

Thanks everyone, will hold on for a bit longer.

Good luck to everyone waiting to find out! Hopefully this will be our month. X

BrevilleTron Mon 31-Dec-12 10:48:48

Thanks Hetty. Ill be thinking of you on the 5th as its my DH's birthday (28) aww bless (from a 32 and feeling every year of it today)

threepiecesuite Mon 31-Dec-12 10:52:36

My AF is due on the 3rd Jan. I'm doing everything I possibly can not to POAS. It's been a bloody long 2ww....

polkadotsrock Mon 31-Dec-12 10:57:34

Crikey three I would so have caved by now! Esp at this time of year! Well done!

threepiecesuite Mon 31-Dec-12 14:31:54

Right, I'm tempting fate now by looking at lovely holidays for August, if I don't get a BFP at least it's something to look forward to! Really want to test but don't want to be disappointed (again).

KittenCamile Mon 31-Dec-12 17:58:39

Hold on to it!

Good luck to everyone, I'm due on the 6th and POAS today, got a BFN which made me cry and ruined my day all because I couldnt wait! (Good clear blue one too!)

Don't do it to yourself, I keep thinking that EVERYONE must get their BFP on like 6dpo and if I haven't then I'm not pregnant. Its soul destroying.

Good luck, I'm sure it will be good news

BelleEtLaBete Mon 31-Dec-12 18:05:48

<throws cat among pigeons>

I just got a faint bfp a few days ago on a FRER. My ad is due today.

<balances argument>

I didn't get my bfp with ds in my first pg until i was six days late longest week of my life

My AF came last night. It's really got me down. I really thought we'd done it this month, I was so hopeful. I'd had 3 days of nausea and dizziness.

To make matters worse, my cycles seem to be getting shorter (now 26 days, was 28) and I have very bad period pain, had to get up in night and take codeine and get hot water bottle for the cramps.

Feel like I'll never ever get pg now. :-(

bundle4me Wed 02-Jan-13 12:25:25

Hi three,

Sorry to hear the dreaded AF came! Your time will come, just try to stay positive, I know its hard though. How long have you been trying for?

threepiecesuite Wed 02-Jan-13 15:42:15

Only since last April and I know others here have been trying much, much longer but it still gets me down.

You just start to wonder if it will ever happen though. My DD is nearly 3 and I'd dearly love to give her a sibling to play with.

bundle4me Wed 02-Jan-13 16:12:02

It's understandable, I think everyone feels like that when you see the bfn! On the plus side, at least you already have a child so you know that you're fertile and also you know what to expect. For first timers like me its worrying whether it will happen at all!

threepiecesuite Fri 04-Jan-13 11:55:14

Yes it must be bundle, thanks and you're right. Any joy for you this month?
I've decided if it doesn't happen in the next few months, I'm going to investigate why my cycles are getting shorter and more painful and heavy.

dorapeppageorgenoddy Fri 04-Jan-13 20:27:22

I tested today and it was negative but I had been patient and waited till day 29 the day Af is due - no sign of anything at the moment... Aghhhh have felt nauseous for days but then that can be normal for me pre AF...but usually on time or before 26 to 29 day cycle...so who knows what's happening?

OP any update?

HettySunshine Sat 05-Jan-13 15:48:23

Right, still no af. Please, please can I test now?!

DisappointedPantomimeHorse Sat 05-Jan-13 15:55:10

Absolutely, well done for waiting. Good luck!

dorapeppageorgenoddy Sat 05-Jan-13 18:51:33

Hetty any news?

HettySunshine Sat 05-Jan-13 19:24:23

Had a few things to do and just about to have dinner - I know nothing will get done afterwards if I get a BFP so clearing the decks first! Eek!

Cortana Sat 05-Jan-13 19:32:07

Fingers crossed for you Hetty, hoping this is your month.
