Does anyone else feel like the two weeks after ovulation go on forever?! I read into every slight cramp or twinge hoping I'm pg but never am. Impatient doesn't even come close. Please tell me I'm not the only one?!

KatyAnn28 Thu 27-Dec-12 23:22:21

I'm two days into my first 2ww and I'm already tearing my hear out. God help me...

I've done 1w of the 2ww this month. Eyeing up a shiny new pack of Frer's... I fainted today hmm

Yep, it's long alright!

I'm also 1 week in, and on holiday in America. Had a lovely trip to Wal Mart today to stake out my HPT options!

purpleaura Fri 28-Dec-12 04:11:31

I'm totally there with you all! I'm 2 weeks into my 2ww! Every day drips by so frigging slowly- it is utterly agonising and I really find it difficult not to think about it all the time.

Couldn't resist POAS today and got a bfn sad I think there's still a bit of hope as no AF yet... I think the worst thought of all is not the bfn itself, but the thought of having to go through all this again next month. sad

Hang on in there everyone! One of these months, we'll get there and just think of the reward at the end smile

CJP350 Fri 28-Dec-12 18:24:25

Thanks, ladies. So pleased I'm not alone!! I'm only 5 days into the 2 weeks and it's driving me mad already!

chocoloulou33 Sun 30-Dec-12 21:34:39

Am now 7dpo. 1 week to go! Draaaaagggggging!

bundle4me Mon 31-Dec-12 11:38:02

I totally agree! I'm two days after AF was due, she hasn't arrived but poas at the weekend and got a bfn sticking two fingers back up at me! I suppose there is still hope as no sign of AF, yet!

Good luck girls. Hopefully 2013 will bring us all a bit of luck! My poor DH's testicles are going to shrivel up from all the usage if not! Ha ha!!

chocoloulou33 Wed 02-Jan-13 16:23:00

Haha* bundle* is af usually late? Fx for you though. Any other bfps from anyone?

bundle4me Wed 02-Jan-13 16:29:03

Well, I suppose 'late' is a slight bend in the truth as this is our first month of trying since coming off the pill so I'm not sure what my cycle is meant to be. I've done a lot of research into my pill and its common for most women to return to a normal cycle once they come off it. So far I'm 4 days late and two bfn's! sad

I've ordered myself some ovulating and pg sticks so hopefully that'll give me a more accurate idea of when I'm ovulating to increase my chances.

setayharas Wed 02-Jan-13 16:30:34

sorry to gatecrash just thought id vent. af only left me yesterday so im not technically in the 22w yet. but im still going mental. mentally working out when me and dh are gonna dtd how many times this month. if i could id probably give him a diary with hes time slots with me already written in lol i dread to think how ill be when i start the 2 weeks. HELPPPP

chocoloulou33 Wed 02-Jan-13 22:59:22

bundle hopefully your cycle won't take long to get back to normal after pill. Mine was ok after the 1st af. So I only have 4 days to wait now & feels like all I think about is 'am I pregnant!?' [Hmm] hurrry up!!! Anyone got any news? Any bfps? X

bundle4me Thu 03-Jan-13 11:53:10

Thanks chocoloulou smile I'll keep you posted. Funny this, I've never spoken so much in depth about my sodding periods before to anyone and here we all are, telling total strangers all the gory detials! Ha ha! I think my DH would have me sectioned if he knew!

I know what you mean about constantly wondering about 'am I pg'! Despite two BFN's I'm still wondering the same thing!

Setayharas, join the mental club! Ttc is all I think about these days! It's driving me potty! I totally agree about the diary and time slots for your DH! I think mine is begining to think I'm just using him for his 'love juice'... I'd be lying if I said it wasn't! I haven't had so much sex in my life... getting a little tired of it now so wish the BFN would bloody hurry up! lol

Any more news from anyone else?

bundle4me Thu 03-Jan-13 11:56:12

Oops, I meant BFP, definately no more BFN, please!!!

CrackerJackShack Thu 03-Jan-13 11:57:29

Ugh! I hate the two week wait! I've got 8 days left till I can test and it's sooooo long!!!

bundle4me Thu 03-Jan-13 12:00:04

CrackerJackShack, good luck! When do you usually test, the day AF is due?

DoctorWhoFan Thu 03-Jan-13 12:26:57

8or 9dpo (not entirely sure)...and as chocoloulou33 said..."Draaaaggggiiiiiing"! And if my skin breaks out in any more zits, I'm going to regress to my teenage years and start acting like Kevin and Perry, it's my only defence. Seriously, zits at 45, what's that about? I usually get one or two when I'm due my period, but this is awful. It's not the quantity - it's the quality of 'em! They're HUGE and really painful. Gah.

And all the pregnancy symptoms I've been having since 5dpo have suddenly vanished. I POAS at 7dpo (I know, I know) because I felt SO pregnant, no need to say BFN, is there? LOL. Now I don't feel pregnant at all. Aaaaargh!

I'm going to go and get measured for a straightjacket, cos this is 2 years now and it really starts to get to you confused

chocoloulou33 Thu 03-Jan-13 13:22:46

Lol I'll join you with the straight jackets. I'm having bad day, headache, tired & am sure af is gonna come early, have all the signs x

purpleaura Thu 03-Jan-13 13:55:52

I think this thread might have its first bfp.... been POAS every day since AF was late. Got BFNs until day 5.... then I got a feint BFP!!! Then I got a less feint, but still feint BFP on day 6. Gonna test again tomorrow and hoping for a dark line, cos I still don't quite believe it!!!! DP can't believe it either!!! grin

So keep your chin up everyone- even if AF is late and you're getting BFNs, it doesn't mean your not pregnant... hang on in there bundle and anyone else in the same boat!! smile

littlem33p Thu 03-Jan-13 14:21:52

Hi all,

I am new to mumsnet (just registered) and am in my first ever 2 week wait. glad to hear i'm not the only one going loopy.

quick questions, does anyone know what exercise is ok at this stage? i do a regular zumba class, and went today but am a little worried it might be too strenuous or something.

also just trying to get my head around all the acronyms. what does BFP mean? confused

purpleaura Thu 03-Jan-13 15:15:37

hi little! thanks and welcome smile the 2ww sure will drive you crazy! i have no idea about the exercise question i'm afraid, but i can tell you that BFP stands for the wonderful big fat positive that we're all aiming for grin good luck!

The other big acronyms for this kind of thread are TTC (trying to conceive) and TWW/2WW (two week wait). oh and AF of course (that's Aunt Flo, aka your period).

PS at the top of the page, under where it says 'mumsnet talk' you can click on 'acronyms' for a whole list.

chocoloulou33 Thu 03-Jan-13 17:49:39

purple that's brilliant news congratualtions hun smile xx

quickdowntonson Thu 03-Jan-13 20:33:56

Purpleaura fantastic news!! What symptoms did you have during the 2WW? Anything unusual? Did you feel like AF was on her way? we want details!!

DoctorWhoFan Fri 04-Jan-13 06:08:00

Ooh congragulations Purplelaura! I'm so chuffed for you smile.

9/10dpo here and just POAS - BFN. I'm not losing hope though cos I've still got the mother of all heartburns from last night's curry - I've never got heartburn from a curry in my life. Gaviscon before breakfast for me - nom nom - NAAAAAT! grin
