First month TTC this month Smile. To start off with we are just going to dtd eod once AF has stopped by the wkend.

I think we would have to be very lucky to fall cycle 1 although I know it's possible so was thinking that I would have Xmas as normal which tends to be a couple of drinks here and there (not a heavy drinker anyway) may eat a few too many quality street but on the whole a healthy eater.

What would you do? Not drink at all or in moderation like I'm thinking? testing date is Jan 6th?

Well I think the question you'd have to ask yourself is how you'd feel if you get a bfp on 6 Jan and you know you've had x amount of drinks. If you might then be worried about the effects any alcohol might have had on your baby then you know the answer - don't have any!! I think if I was actively trying I would'nt drink, although I have had alcohol during accidental pregnancy when I didn't know I was IYSWIM!

Based on my experience, I'd say wait until your next cycle! We started TTC at Christmas and had a difficult time. It meant as each Christmas rolled round it was a rather sad event! If I had my time again I'd have a cracking Christmas - like rufusnine says, have a few drinks without worrying about it!, eat some pâté, let your hair down and then start TTC when you are being your normal healthy self! Xmas Smile
