I'm 41 yrs old and about to try for baby #3... Was diagnosed with pcos years ago but finally conceived at 37 with my 1st son, took a year to conceive my 2nd son and I'm about to try again, dreading it... I'm already obsessing about it and I've not even had my coil removed yet, lol... Get it out today though so fingers crossed... xxx

Good luck linda....it looks positive for you with having children not too long ago. I'm 42..been ttc with DP (he hasnt got any children...I have three older) for 8 months now. I have just started clomid....its a rocky and emotional ride. Lots of help and support on Mumsnet...come and have a nosey on the over 40's thread. x

No worries....I had my mirena taken out in February. Mind you I had only had it since July last year. It wasnt good for me this time as I spotted constantly with it.... I had one years ago and didnt have a period for 5 years, so no idea why it didnt suit .
Just a thought....have you spoken to you're GP and maybe arranged to have the prelimary bloodwork done? Just so you have a slightly better idea of your body and what its up to??? I went to my GP about a month or so after starting ttc and was pleased they referred me to the local fertilty clinic immediately as it turned out my AMH is very low and FSH quite high for my age so time is not on my side....hence deciding to give it my all and go with the clomid that they offered.

I'm going to give it 3 months before I go to the doctors, if I can wait that long, I only had the coil put in 6 weeks ago so hopefully things will happen quite quick xxx
