Hi all, I was diagnosed with pcos around 18 months ago and been on metformin since being diagnosed with no luck of getting pg. I have just taken my first month on clomid and currently on day 25 and normally have a 28 day cycle. Do you think it is to early to test ? I may be getting my hopes up but normally 4-5 days before af arrives I normally crave chocolate and not got that this month.
Also be nice to hear from anyone else in same situation or anyone who has been in this situation who now has a bfp ! x

I had one course of clomid and it was really hard but I waited to test. I am currently cuddling the 8.5yo who was born 9 months later Smile.

Good Luck!

Am currently pg with twins after one round of Clomid. I did wait until my period was properly late before testing but mainly because I couldn,t bear to get my hopes up. Good luck!!

I'm not sure if it's too soon Stephy but just wanted to say a huge GOOD LUCK! I've got PCOS and am TTC (one year) - just going down the medical route as it's been 12 months (about to have a HyCoSy scan - did you have one of those and were your tubes clear?) Anyway I hope clomid will work for you and for me too if I'm able to try it. Cx

P.S it's funny you had regular periods but weren't ovulating, thought that was unusual? Or did you ovulate already? Cx

Hi all and thanks, Charlotte yeh I have had my tubes tested and my fella had his sperm checked and both came back clear. The test for myself was nothing major so dont be worrying about it just a little uncomfy for a couple of seconds. Have they put you on metformin for your PCOS ?

I have dead on periods every 28 days and have always been like that, I have ovulated some months but when I have had blood tests they have stated my hormone levels are a little low than normal. The last gyno i saw really annoyed me as he stated 'I doubt you have PCOS' but he wants to leave me on metformin ! He was not my normal gyno so im waiting to see my proper gyno in Feb and its left me slightly confused lol x

I don't think I'll get metformin as am a skinny PCOS'er! Hoping for clomid though after my tests and hoping it works, I get horrible irregular cycles and spotting, don't think I ovulate at all. It's all so hard isn't it, I just want to be able to predict the future so I know it will happen for me, bet you feel the same! Good luck for 3 days time (if you hold out until then haha!) Cx

hahaha thanks hun, even if your skinny they should still offer you metformin as it will regulate your hormones which is what causes the issues with your ovaries hence not ovulating hun x

Not to get all technical but I thought there were two different types of PCOS, one insulin resistant (prone to weight gain) and one non-IR. And metformin is like a diabetes drug which regulates blood sugar etc and controls the insulin resistant side of things so only suitable for certain types. I might be totally wrong, would be good to know otherwise as I didn't think metformin was an option for every PCOS'er. I think clomid has more evidence of working though so fingers crossed this is your month xx

Hi, I haven't got pcos but have unexplained infertility (just don't ovulate) I'm on my second round of clomid. Praying for it to work this month but not holding out much hope (dont have any reasons not to, just being negative! )

I was supposed to get bloodtests last night but there was a big palava and I didn't. Have been temping and fertility friend said I ovulated. I've got follicle testing this wk so we will see. Crossing my fingers for you!
